The Spine - Transistor CMV

I am pleased to present my latest and most complex video!
Transistor is... gosh, it's just fantastic. I love it so much, this video was in planning stages 6 months before the game's release. And the soundtrack is to die for. Keep in mind that this was the first time I used After Effects so heavily, so I'm definitely not a pro. I hope you enjoy it regardless.

Quite lovely, always nice to see other diehards fans of Transistor. I recently did a fun little cosplay of the mysterious lover of Red, before he's killed and put in the transistor. I have to say your rendition of Red is quite attentive to detail, even down to the ring.

I really enjoyed it, but I think you should have focused on the cinematic and dramatic aspects of the game more than the combat aspects. It doesn't look as impressive in cosplay. The cinematic parts were amazing, the part where Red leans towards the sword where his shoulder would be was heartbreaking. T_T Overall, amazing video, keep up the good work! Yeah, I know I'm late to the party. Doing research for an upcoming video and listening to soundtrack, this came up and I had to check it out.

Vandalist Thank you for the constructive criticism. I agree that the combat doesn't look as impressive. It looked a little better in the storyboards. :P But I'm very proud of the video overall. ^_^ Never too late to join the Transistor fans. I was a little late to the Supergiant party myself, I actually learned about this game before Bastion.

Pretty great! The only point of criticism I can think of is the CGI, but this is expected for your first time using after effects. The effects were still pretty good, they felt a bit slow though(unlike in the game, in which most effects take a lot shorter). Also, congrats on getting mentioned by the official supergiant twitter. That is how I got here.

Now THAT was impressive! The portrayal of the characters is amazing, the costumes are perfect, and the effects were beautifully done! I just. You really brought the world of Transistor to life. Hey again!! you would not believe how happy I was when I saw this in my sub box tbhhh You have really outdone yourself with this, it's so perfect in every way. Red's lip-syncing was flawless and all of the effects looked professional and fit so well!! Beautiful!! I love Transistor, i love your cosplay. The ending with the camerade big monster was perfect, i think it represents "the spine of the world". And the last scene was just like in the game!

Definitely going to replay it again after watch all the cosplay action.. Little obsession over here: purge will move you backward but wasn't presented in the video. XD One of the next level play where you combo load passive with get (+ bounce), purge at opposite direction (get you backward hence backstab bonus) + mask then uppercut. This will blow everything that get pull over..

You did a great job, but.. Fighting scenes are weak, objectivly. You did quilet a lot of great shots, i just wish there were more of them and less of cheap fighting. It would be much, much better if you made like one fighting scene but done good.

I woulda just cut the fighting scenes completely, and just had red drag the transistor around. These things are really hard to animate and make it work nice. It's already impressive as it is, but it kind of takes away from the video. 2:18 This scene. This scene was cool and well-done.

+AlphaLackey I was considering doing a video for In Circles! I was even going to make a Sybil cosplay for my friend for it. It was going to start with the regular version of the song, and around the last verse I was thinking of transitioning to the distorted, auto-tuned mix. Sadly, I am much to busy doing other things to consider it. Also the Transistor isn't in great shape from filming this, and being brought to several conventions. A paper boats one would totally be nice, too, though.

It's not bad, and I did enjoy it, but I feel like you should've been more expressive. If you were REALLY singing the words, especially during the chorus, your face would show more emotion. You would open your lips a bit more. You would extend your neck a bit to hit the notes. You did really well, I just think it could've been even better with more emotion to the singing parts.
