We always watched The Spinners at Christmas every year. They were wonderful and funny and just so down to earth. We had some of their albums RIP Cliff and Tony. So many happy memories .

Awesome! Thanks so much for posting! My parents would take us every year the Spinners came to the Theatre Royal Norwich! Always a great show - brilliant musicians and entertainers all of them. A favourite cassette was always the Spinner's English collection that went on the car tape deck every time we took the long drive off on family holidays. Such good memories!

Just listening to this particular show on the eve of our anniversary of our first date. It was the Spinners at the Free Trade Hall in Manchester. That was 53 years ago, we came to Canada in 1977 and have been married for 50 years this year. I guess the Spinners have a lot to answer for.

I used to live next door but one to Hugh Jones when I was kid in Childwall, Liverpool and we played as children long before he picked up a guitar! Just told my 15 year old grandson to keep practicing.

I saw the Spinners at the. Co-op fete, Ipswich, in 1976. They sang Windmill in old Amsterdam. I'm 60 now, and was singing this to my grandchildren just the other day.

My dad used to play these guys in his work van decades ago - even then, as a lad, I can remember how much I resonated with them. Music to feed you!

I can remember watching them live back in the 60s and one of the songs they sang that night was Asikatali, it was a protest song about the way the black people were treated in South Africa for many years, if you get chance have a listen, it's truly a very moving song and it took some gumption to sing it at the time especially in the political climate the way it was.

The Spinners a unique sound that has not changed from when I first met that sound at Gregson's Well Pub at the city end of West Derby road, not old enough to drink legally buy I looked old enough to get in. Thanks for the memories lads, Very sorry that two members are not with us today.

Back in the 1970's, I remember going to see the The Spinners at the East Ham Granada, with my Mum and Nan. At that time, I didn't have any appreciation for music. It was only a couple of years ago that I rediscovered The Spinners, while I was browsing here on KZbin.
