The Spinners are a gifted and an energetic soul group. My heroes they’re. Bob, Phil, John and GC brought the best out of me with the Spinners all time classic. My fav it has been Mighty Love forty eight years ago. RIP, Brother Bobbie Smith and Brother Philippe Wynne.

The Year on this performance title cannot be correct -- Phillippe Wynne performed with the Spinners until 1977. The song was released in Nov 1972 and peaked in the charts in 1973. If this was Top Of The Pops, search for "List of performances on Top of the Pops".

I agree! I see John Edwards in the video who replaed Philippe Wynne in the group in January of 1977. Edwards was the lead singer on the groups' hits "Working My Way Back to You / Forgive Me Girl" and "Cupid / I've Loved You For A Long Time." I noticed that the video edited out John Edwards' effert to perform Plilippe Wynne vocal duties on the outro of the song. I think that was a wise move because it is extremely difficult to duplicate Wynne's interpretation and energy in closing out a song.

Three things: this isn't the whole song; It isn't lip-synced correctly and The ladies really 'made" the hook of this record, IMO Is that Barbara Ingram, Linda Creed and Carla or Yvette Benson in back?
@marvinflanagan51813 жыл бұрын
No !!!!! What is going on here and why are they cutting this performance short????this is not even the original 1977 not 1972 audio for this particular performance. The original 1977 version was a live performance at a show called Top of The Pop. Not this lip synched mess they put together here. The studio 1972 version is what they are attempting to do here and it is done wrong. The back up singers are not Barbara Ingram, Linda Creed, or Yvette Benton. These ladies are called The New Horizon. They just use them for live performances or shows. Look up Detroit Spinners - Could it be im falling in love 1977 for the real version not this crappy lip synched version.
