I have tried reading the Bible so many times and was defeated also over the years. Last year, I heard God say, you need a Study Bible and a study guide to read the Bible in 52 weeks. I didn’t even know they existed. God is so good, He speaks to us in so many ways. ❤

Candace your story of how you started following Jesus is like my story, but I'm in my 60's It took that long. I always believed but I walked in darkness not following Christ. I started feeling the holy spirt or say paying attention, I would cry in church not knowing why. He was pulling me to him. He wanted me to have a relationship with him. My life has changed and I have changed when at 62, I got a believers baptism, I was ready to walk with him. Thank you so much for this podcast, especially this one!

I literally cried hearing about Val baptizing Candace! I became a Christian about 16 years ago but only really started walking with The Lord last year. And this year I even started Tara-Leigh's Bible Recap to really learn about the bible (which I got from Candace 4 years ago) and learn everything about Jesus! You both are so special and I love your podcast! Candace when you started crying about your husband and how he baptized you ugh, it got me! I can so relate to this because my husband and I both believed in God at an early age, but we were not walking with the Lord when we got married. It hasn't been easy, but God is faithful and now our marriage is so much better because God is in it. My husband actually baptized me and the kids one day in our bathroom and although not glamorous,it was very special.

Candace since you said you’re a curious person you should read about the Catholic/Orthodox Christian theology on baptism and why we baptize infants, I think you’d find it very interesting how we as Christan parents want to provide our children with the all the gifts of the holy spirit (wisdom, understanding, counsel, fortitude, knowledge, piety, and fear of God) which will spiritually equip them throughout their whole life ☺️ God Bless! ❤

I agree, I thought I was a really good person until my husband introduced me to the way of the master book 20 years ago . Also, as I am reading through the Bible, I am getting ready to get to the book of Revelation and one of my clients told me about Miss Cobles‘s Bible recap. Kind of confused on a comment TLC made.....about God's forgiveness of our sins, past ,present and future? What if a person believed, was baptized, then developed doubts because of their life's situations? And as of now , is just living as if there is not a God....is that person still under God's grace.... still going to Heaven? This person is prayed for everyday......

There are lots of scholars and teachers that expound their interpretations of their beliefs from one generation to another! misinformation is passed on! Information is lost because of many reasons.
