Every. Single. Time. I hear this song, I learn something new. I fell in love with this song about 30 years ago. You didp a phenominal job on this, well done! There's a million SOR covers, but when you hear someone get in those bass doubles on the main riff, you know they know their shit. Awesome work.

Often, there is something missing from the intonation of the drummer, but you sir, nailed it. Very nice! Ive watched players do Rush covers and there is always something that just isnt like how Neil did it. Its not the notes, the rhythm, the drums. Its deeper. You nailed it!

This is one of the best covers I've heard yet! 🤘 It's not about the notes. It's about feel, timing, rhythm, and tempo. Neil had mastery over these things, which is what makes it so difficult for many to replicate. Most importantly, you look so relaxed when you play, I can almost shut my eyes and believe it is Neil (almost 😅). Suffice to say, I am highly impressed and would love to hear more. 👏👏👏

I've seen many covers of this song and I like a lot of them. But your cover is by far the best! Excellent job!! If I had my eyes closed, I would have thought it was Neil playing. He would have been proud of you. I'm not a musician in any way but I can hear a good sound. Your techniques are very smooth!! Can tell you've been playing awhile. Keep on drumming brother!!!

I used to frequent this open mic and one night me and two buddies where on stage thw guitarist turns around and says, LETS DO YYZ the bassist started glowing! “I’ve know it but I’ve never played it in public!” I looked at them and said “your gonna kill me I’ve never played it!” But the song is in my regular playlist so we flew into it and I think I did pretty good from memory, maybe not as good as you did here! Thanks for sharing your video with the world! You have a lot of talent and worked very hard to get to this level! This takes me back to when I was a kid in the 70’s listening to my brother practice drums in the garage and reading the lyrics on the album. The Professor’s words guided me into adulthood much like everyone else in Generation X! Keep up the great work!

Neil would have been proud. My father played a farewell show for Neil in St Catharines where he and my dad grew up (they did not know each other). Neil already was making his mark. A drummer asked my dad, uncle, and their friend to back him up for the show. They kicked the drummer off the stage after the second song because he couldn't keep a beat. My dad always said Neil either wouldn't remember that show or didn't know about it. We will never know now. Great playing! Gained a new subscriber here. Greetings from Canada 🇨🇦
