“Countdown” is one of those songs that gives me a much finer appreciation of everything that Ed Shelton brings to the table as a musician. For this one, he alternates between bass and keys, while Reese even helps out with some Taurus pedal action in different places. Of course, Vicki provides such devotion and zeal to every lyric and nuance of these songs. And of course, there’s Casey another one of the more difficult jobs in the band not that ANY of them are easy...
I did my best to capture the audio well, but the sound in this venue was not very good to begin with. There was a lot of reverb in the room and Reese had to literally blanket his guitar amp to keep the volume manageable. This left the drums to swallow up much of the available space, so Vicki's vocals aren't as loud as we would have wanted. Still, I believe this footage is still a nice memory keeper from the band's 10th anniversary celebration!
