The word soul refers to the person. There is no body part called a soul. The Bible says at the second coming, this Mortal must put on immortality. We are mortal beings. The Bible says, only God is immortal.

If the spirit return to God, does it contradict with SDA teaching? I thought our soul sleeps until the day of 2nd coming and every souls will be awaken. Is this sermon saying that when 2nd coming takes place, all the spirits return back to earth?

@@adechalus yes, at the second coming, Jesus needs to know who to leave in the grave and who to resurrect. Those that are alive when Jesus comes, He needs to know who will be saved and who will be lost. The lost will be killed by the brightness of Jesus' glory. That's why it makes no sense that people go to Heaven or Hell at death, the Bible says, at the second coming, this Mortal must put on immortality. We are not immortal now, the Bible says only God is immortal. Living on after death came from Satan in the Garden of Eden, Satan the biggest liar, of all time, when he told Eve, if she ate of the tree she would be like a good, and that she would not die. And people have believed that lie. The Bible says, when Jesus comes he will call his people in the grave, and they will hear his voice and wake up

@@dianechapmanbettyboop hello 👋🏼. There are several points you made that the Bible can correct and clarify: Acts 24:14-15 says there will be a resurrection of both the unrighteous and righteous. John 5:28-29 is the text that you were quoting, but notice what it says when you keep reading: “ do not marvel at this, for an hour is coming when all that are in the tombs will hear His voice and come out, Those who have done good to the resurrection of life AND those who have done evil to the resurrection of judgement.” What does it mean that the unrighteous will be resurrected to judgment ? Well Jesus told us in Luke 12:4 “Do not fear those who kills the BODY and after that have nothing more they can do. But I will warn you whom to fear, fear Him, that after he has killed, has the authority to cast into hell. Yes I tell you fear Him.” Matthew 5:28 “ and do not fear those who kill the BODY but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear Him who can destroy BOTH the BODY AND SOUL in hell.” We have mortal BODIES but will receive glorified bodies Philippians 3:21. So our mortal flesh cannot go into heaven because we must worship God in spirit and truth. John 4:24 The lie that Satan told eve was that her eyes would become open and she would become like God knowing good and evil if she eats from the tree. Genesis 3:5 The focus is not on her body being immortal but on her eyes being open and being like God knowing good and evil. What we also need to ponder is Ecclesiastes 12:7 “ And the dust returns to the earth as it was and the spirit returns to God who gave it.” So there is two things that happens when you die. Lastly we should be watchful of false prophets making claims and dates like 1844 etc. It is not scriptural.

@@adechalus I know that there are two restrictions. I never said there wasn't. The wicked are raised 1000 years after the righteous are in Heaven. Revelation 20. Then Jesus brings Heaven down to Earth. Satan and the wicked attempt to attack the Saints, the fire comes down from Heaven and burns them up, it is called the Second Death. Revelation 20. Revelation 20 debunks the theory that people are burning in hell now. Hell will be on Earth, and I don't see people burning now. They are in the ground awaiting the second resurrection. So many misinterpreted texts.
