It is seshadri swamigal you are referring to who brought Bhagavan ramana from the patala linga area in the thiruvanamalai temple. Many a times Bhagavan Ramana has told his guru is anamalai himself. And many believe he is an avatar of skanda/karthikeya son of shiva. That may be the reason he said he is going in search of his father.
