This is such a great movie, definitely worth watching. I find the title is undermining the worth of this movie. The actors are relatable, and the storyline is great. So viewing is highly recommended!

Sleep paralysis and night terrors are seriously distressing
@lisasternenkind6467 Жыл бұрын
I suffer from sleep paralysis all my life. I also have cPTSD, which makes me have flashback dreams. So I very often transition from such a flashback dream to the nightmare of sleep paralysis. This makes me want to avoid going to sleep, so I won't give up consciousness. But when I haven't slept for a couple of days, this sleep paralysis a appears while I'm trying to go to sleep. Yet sleep paralysis only occurs when the sun has set. So I tend to wait for the morning to get to sleep, when I have suffered from insomnia for a few days. Since my PTSD service dog died on April 29th, these episodes of sleep paralysis when getting to sleep, flashback dreams, and sleep paralysis when waking up multiple times during the night, have become even worse. My Rottweiler always protected me, also from these black figures that always close in on me while I'm paralyzed. I believe it's evil people from my past, who have died, and now are haunting me. I suppose they aren't able to move on to a blissful otherworld because of their evil actions in life, and therefore now are haunting their victims, who survived their assaults.

If the volume is too low & additional speakers dont help or headsets, then try & find the best volume & turn on the subtitles... A chore, i know but by reading subtitles, & combining with a low volume, its more comfortable & easier to put up with Its what i do when i cant hear what they are saying. Peace 🇬🇧👧

I’m not really into obscure low budget films like this, but I only watched this film for Jasmyn Banks (Who played Laura) she’s my favourite actress ever since she played Alice Branning in EastEnders, she is an Amazing Actress and Lovely Person 💚 I would love to see Jasmyn Banks play more lead roles in future projects like this in Film or Television whichever or possibly return to EastEnders as Alice Branning. I would like Jasmyn Banks to do a project involving Cars.

I checked out after 9 minutes, after daughter and father had that weird conversation. It's very hard to understand the mindset of the daughter - she looks to be in her thirties and yet she completely does not comprehend that people can change drastically when they're very sick? Has she never heard of dementia or Alzheimers?

I had sleep paralysis a couple of times and it is scary especially when it happens and you don't know what is going on, you never heard about sleep paralysis before. For me it was like I could walk around with my sight only . Everything was dark , you see exactly the room where you are sleeping but it's covered in darkness , you feel something evil in the dark where you can't see anything,you are scared you want to move you can't you want to scream you can't You wish for anybody to just touch you to wake you up. You'll fight for a while inside your head then move just a finger with all my will power and then you wake up thinking wtf just happened
@ingowitzelluizcypher9638 Жыл бұрын
Wow, that is very scary . The way you explained it, makes me wonder if I might have had this as a child. Your dicription fits in a way concerning what happened to me when I was young. I hope that you feel better now and I wish you all the Luck you need and want.....Greetings from Aix la Chapelle......

Sleep paralysis is very scary, fortunately it only happened a few times, nothing too bad happened while I was in this state, but what was strange was I did feel a presence behind me as I slept on the couch at this time, whatever it was or whoever it was wasn't getting hold of me as I managed to shake my body awake. I do believe had I not been able to shake myself awake it would have got worse, fortunately it only happened a few times. This is a real thing I'm living proof and I'm sure millions of others have been through the same if not worse, and yes I believe it continues to happen over time, then you suffer more and more psychologically and I think unless you have the ability to shake yourself awake that's when things start to worsen, as seen in this movie, and maybe had I not had the ability to shake myself awake then I would have suffered for longer . And those who are suffering through this shouldn't feel afraid to reach out or ashamed or being labelled a weirdo or crazy their not, what they're going through is as real as the nose on your face. So if someone reaches out to you with same suffering..... Or any suffering at all , think about this we're all blessed with one mouth and 2 ears, YES!! Therefore we should listen twice as much as we speak. Great movie thanks for the upload 🙏🏾

Is it me or doesn't it add up? When did Laura's mother die then? Did I miss something? Everything that happens in the beginning, is in real time, right? Her mother getting angry at her, her father having sex with the maid, her mom thanking Laura for staying.... And, in my perception, all of a sudden the spiritualist talks about her mom's passing???😮

No that’s was Pam ferris but I remember her in ‘ The loves and lives of a she devil ‘ in the early/ mid eighties her name is Julie T Wallace alongside Patricia hodge and Dennis waterman.. i was probably way to young but remember being quite enthralled by this mini series.. might try watching on KZbin.. bet it’s well cheesy by today’s standards 😺
