I use "Talking Parents" to communicate with my ex about our son. Everything is well documented and is admissible in court. It was court ordered and is a free app. I blocked him on all other avenues.

Stop accommodating him outside of the letter of whatever your custody agreement is. he's going to be difficult whether you be nice and give him extra time or not so just don't. Also there is a parenting app that both you can use to communicate through that way it's recorded should you need it in court. I'd start keeping a record of everything he does, the combative text, the name calling, Everytime he misses his pick up time, everything.

Yes, he's miserable in his home. No one who is happy and content would want to continue this type of chaos, especially in a brand new relationship. My advice would be for you to switch up and become as classy and unbothered as you can. Just stick to the rules of your visitation order and act as if he doesn't exist. Do NOT go back and forth him in any way. Let the lawyers do the talking for you as you just continue to save your reciepts and communication recordings. Pay him dust. This will save your sanity and it will also maintain peace for children and show them how to conduct themselves as leveled headed adults. I've gone through this; giving him any type of reaction is feeding him. Once I stopped acknowledging his existence, he found someone else to take out his frustrations on--and to this day, he is still struggling financially and mentally in life while my son and I are thriving and happy. I promise you this approach will work ❤.

I have a court order with my child's father and since I've been strictly following the court order we've had minimal problems. I don't go outside of the court order we only do pick up and drop off at the police station and only communicate through the parenting app. Only respond about important things in regards to the kids other than that keep conversation very minimal and you guys will have no problem but as soon as you go outside the court order that's when he can use that against you so follow it to a T. That way if he isn't following the court order and you're not being flexible with him you can show that to the courts over time to be able to get full custody.
