I remember when my late brother brought home in 1970 a brand new HD Sportster, blue in color with a white seat. Seeing this tank brought back good memories, the Sportster script on the tank was the same as this one

Me and my wife, my 18 Street Glide Special and her 18 SporsterXL, rode across 🇨🇦 once. She traded it in for her 19 Heritage that currently has now. It was some trip and yes it was the 1st and only time we did long distance riding with that bike, cheers, nice save on the potential tank drop though, 😎😎😎

Build is looking good! I am still trying to get up the guts to change the spark plugs on my Road King, but to reach the front ones I have to remove the tank. And I am being chicken! Now I may have to woman up and figure it out.

Question: Wouldn't it have been easier to disconnect the fuel line at the tank instead of at the carb? Unless you're changing the carb too?

We are changing the line anyway (dry rot) - but it was crimped at the tank, just the clamp at the carb so it was easier there.

this was...just...weird... no evil looks, no gnashing of teeth. the warmer weather must have gotten to you 2 lol. been waiting for these vids what seems like forever. when did you start this? i understand the mail is screwed up. i ordered a pc part from newegg a couple months back. when it got about halfway to me , it sat for couple days then they shipped it over 300 miles in the WRONG direction. then sent it the right way. hopefully you get the stuff soon. good vid

hahaha I know! When we got done, I was like...what happened to us? 🤣🤣 We have been able to ride so maybe we are happier - also we weren't hangry. The parts we ordered for the most part got here (some things we realized we needed later on) - but we are working with some companies that are donating parts so that takes more time with their logistics, etc. Thanks for watching!
