On March 11th we had one case in the school and we shut down after school that day just for the following day. And then 2 days later it was announced school was cancelled for 2 weeks. Even me and some of my friends thought then that was excessive even though looking back, it was the right thing to do. For me, it was a stressful year with the my mental health deteriorating due to the lockdowns, but since this year started, things have been so much better for me. I still remember hearing about a virus in China, about how fast it was spreading. I brushed it off, and laughed with my friends about it. Spring break was coming after all and I was excited and had other more fun things to think about. It's almost been 2 years since then, here in the U.S. things have only been getting worse. My family is getting through fine but its worrying. I have a friend who got it who is thankfully ok. Some of my relatives are sick but it's not confirmed if it's covid or not. My little brother isn't doing well in school and I blame that for how often he gets sick and has to stay home, It's usually not bad but it's still happening almost every month. I can only imagine how it is for those less fortunate then us. I understand we're in a much better situation than many and I can only hope that anyone who reads all of this is ok or will be ok. I wish the best for all of you.

So is there no data from Turkmenistan and North Korea (which wouldn't surprise me) or do they actually have that few cases? Edit: I realized that the ticking of days was aligned perfectly with the tempo of the music. How clever! Also...would you consider a map tracking recoveries? It would nice to see those who survived this pandemic.

Turkmenistani government claims there's no coronavirus but their hospitals had been filled up with people with pneumonia. It's the same country that changed the word "bread" in their language to dictator's late mother name, so there's that lol. North Korea is technically possible to have avoided it entirely because they closed borders early and have been strict. And if they had some it's possible there wasn't a lot. It's still a big if with North Korea of course.

Here in Norway, we have an active major outbreak again with thousands of new cases each day. Just in time for the flu season on top of that. We've been lucky though that very few have died as a result of the virus (as of Dec 10th, 2021 there has been 1135 deaths, with infections having gone up to over 300k) The good thing is that the majority of the population has gotten at least 1 shot, giving them partial protection, while another big portion has been fully vaccinated (including myself)

I've been working in the hospital and the majority of serious covid-19 cases is unvaccinated. I just wanted to register here that Brazil, my country, is the worst in the Pandemic. The USA and India may have more cases, but Brazil has a MT population smaller than the 2 countries and here the health system it is public and universal. If it were private, as in the case of the US, our numbers would be much, much worse. Many dead, even in the streets. (And there are still people who defend privatization). are, in fact, hard times. The people don't help, don't wear a mask, don't stay at home....but the government doesn't do anything, doesn't lockdown when it needs to, doesn't avoid events, doesn't fine, nothing. It's sad to see this.... it's not just not caring about yourself, it's not caring about others either. :V
