Love, Love the light blue jeans and the blouse that goes with it. I also, like the neckline. I prefer that instead of a collar. I like the top stitching. It makes it look crisp and sharp. Well done.

You are an inspiration to me in all ways! It’s amazing to me that you constantly have the excitement for your next project and the ambition to complete and show us how great you look in them. The fit on those jeans is so perfect. What alteration would you suggest to minimize the fullness in the back below my butt? Do I need to curve the crotch more. The ones I made are very comfortable and don’t bind in anyway but I don’t like fullness in the front and the back. Thanks for all you do for us.
@TomKatStitchery3 жыл бұрын
It might be that you need a low butt adjustment to fix the excess fabric below the butt (a very common fit adjustment). My favorite fitting book is this one: www.amazon.com/Complete-Photo-Guide-Perfect-Fitting/dp/1589236084/ref=nodl_

🙋 I'll take this entire outfit in my size 💚 So gorgeous!!! And Totally my style! Again these pieces flatter your figure sooo much. And I should mention you have inspired me to sew my 4 kiddos their easter outfits this year! I chose very basic easy to put together pieces since I'm an advanced beginner but am so pumped to see it come together! Thank you for all your videos! Such an inspiration!

Would you do a mini-tutorial of how you used the bias strips to finish the seams on the jacket? I love that look! (And I'm obsessed with that purple velvet hanging loop.) I still reference your tutorial on using bias strips for a shirt-tail hem, but I have no clue how to do that for seam finishing.

I love what you have made especially the jeans, a lighter blue denim is so nice for the Spring and Summer, here is Australia we are now getting ready for the colder weather, I ordered some faux leather knitted fabric that is lined in fleece and I also ordered some sweater knit in teal with metallic running through it from Lush Fabrics, I am going to make the McCalls top a pattern you "enabled" me to buy (the top you made your daughter, I even ordered this pattern straight from the US!), fingers crossed it works out all okay. Take care Lovely and love to Gidget

Those jeans would look so nice also with the top that you're wearing for a very casual french look! I'm planning to make the Persephone Pants in crop length in a medium-light color denim, and I just made a red striped tshirt, so I might be biased :D I love the jacket, and i bought the pattern during Canadian Thanksgiving's sale, and I always preferred that view. Great outfit!

I love the Sienna but, The wrap doesn't do much for me. I think I'd sew a tab on the inside where the belt pass-thru is instead of making the pass-thru. Put a snap on it and add a smaller belt section on the inside to snap it so it stays together. Then make a shorter belt in the outside seam to connect with the D loops on the opposite side! It would help if you have limited fabric too!

Love your whole outfit Whitney! That denim is gorgeous. I'm just going to have to go to stylemaker. I have 2 of the patterns you mention which is always a relief :))) I have the Sienna sitting on my cutting table as inspiration (I had my second eye operation last Friday so my vision is brilliant and perhaps the best its ever been, but I do need reading glasses so I'm not ready to get to my sewing just yet) The Fitzroy blouse pattern is also sitting on my cutting table to keep my spirits up. I bought it a few months ago along with her new jacket pattern and her sweat shirt pattern too when you showcased it in one of your videos. I had been searching for a different and pretty blouse pattern and this one is just perfect. I can't wait to make it! I think you could use this pattern for a shirt dress or even a jacket too. Your video really fired me up!

I am very short like you. I get ‘smile lines’ I think that is what they are called on pants as you have. What is that from? How can I fix that? I have avoided sewing pants altogether for fitting issues. What am I doing wrong? New seamstress here.
@TomKatStitchery3 жыл бұрын
If they are radiating from the crotch up toward the hip, this can be that the inseam at the crotch needs to be let out just a bit (1/4” can do wonders).
