If you listen very carefully, the interesting thing about Ange is that when things go well he praises the players and when things don't go well he says "that is on me". That tells you a lot about the man, he accepts accountability and give the responsibility to the players.

Great show Chris and you are Ange in and rightly so he is the man to change the culture and performances. It will take time a culture like this always does. Those supporters who quickly jump off managers should be changing as well

Some awesome bits, Udogie looking dangerous and making a few of those 2023 runs. Set Peices looked solid. Vicario really coming off his line. Werner absolutely backing himself. Maddison being his crafty self. Ange adapting tactics to ensure the lead isnt dwindled away. The team all showed up. Kulu was a Giant. Dragusin looked solid.

What a beautiful win! What will the Ange outers say now?? More of the same? "Consistency", "Ange Ball doesn't work in the prem" or something more ridiculous "We only won cause Man City was trash" probably; while conveniently leaving out the congratulations & SUPPORT that the so called "supporters" are there for. Tired of the "Great, but.. " narratives! Let's celebrate this monumental victory and carry on this GOATed performance to the next one and smash 'em too! Man of the Season is undisputedly Dejan Kulusevski!!! Deki has really paved the way for the rest of the team! His recent comments about the mentality he expects from everyone - especially HIMSELF, his performances at both Spurs & Sweden (we haven't lost a game since he started his captaincy) & of course his playstyle has rubbed off on the others. Just look at Son's assist for example: Received the ball, pauses in front of the defense, notices Madders run and quickly taps the ball to our scoring birthday boy! Not very Son like.. but identical to what Deki would do, except he would've used his signature & iconic heel back pass instead! Deki has that intangible IT-factor. He may not always produce the points, but his creativity & "Let's f'n' go!" mentality brings that aura that we have needed for so long! A shame that second & third assists do not count in football, like in ice hockey: as a playmaker he tops those types of stats.

I will be honest. If you did a poll of every Spurs fan, you would find that the Ange out brigade are a small minority, but as is the way in the modern era. They get all the notice. If they actually believe it, then they don't know a great deal. I'm not trying to be insulting, but it is obvious to anybody who actually watches football, let alone Spurs that this manager is the right one. He plays attacking beautiful football so there's the first tick if I recall the wish, if not the insistence, of most of us. He also has tried to drum it into our thick heads, that silverware for life not just for Christmas, is what he expects his players to believe. I, for one, will give him as long as it takes, because, one; it is how the likes of Liverpool, City, Arsenal, Chelsea and Man Utd of old, have always seemed to behave, and two, I personally dont think the wait is going to be much longer for multiple successes also.

Great podcast, Chris Many Thanks! Could not believe how Spurs played! One of the best performances during the time I have followed them since 1971! I have followed them since I was 10 yrs. There have been some great memories! But to beat one of the best teams in the world for many years was tremendous! All of the players were brilliant! we have got to keep this standard as best we can. Just to look at all the players so happy was excellent. Ange Postecogluou produced a tactical masterplan! Every player played his part! COYS!

There is nothing wrong with angeball. The players arebinto angeball. The sickness is that when playing teams lower down the table, they do not give enough of respect to that team. These are proper Premier League Teams, fighting fir their futures in the Premier League. When they look down in these teams, your performance on the field is slower, that is why they beat you.
@neil3647 күн бұрын
Just a discussion point, Chris. Do you think it might be an interesting idea to test the centre-back pairings in different competitions and use Davis and Dragusin as the set pair for FA Cup, for example, and Romero, VDV in the league. Then either mix and match from them or choose one of the particular pairings for Europe and Caraboa. You get the gist.

Not going to happen, Ange will require all his players to take the pitch at every level. Which is why there were those losses

What I make of Ange’s record is many English people in the media and fan bases including the Spurs fan base, have been sitting quietly in the wings waiting to attack him at the first time of trouble! He is naive, he isn’t good enough. He has no plan B! He isn’t a pragmatist etc etc. I guess we are all back on board again this week 😂😂. Well, quiet in the shadows waiting for the next slip up Atleast

Don't mind admitting when i'm wrong Chris ... tbh i think Ange's way's have been growing ever the more tiresome amongst Tottenham fan's over recent months ... yeah great win's here & there, but almost always followed up by stinking defeats, whether home, or away . . . After yesterday's result (unless it get's ridiculous, ofcourse ?), i think we really do need to stick by Ange ... if this team can 'just' find some consistency then great things will follow . . ? That was AMAZING at The Etihad yesterday , let's kick on from ere Tottenham Hotspur !!! 🤍
