facts people just dont realize how good pros actually are cause they're playing against other pros. I recently played against a top 5 socal player and it took me like 3-4 games to get just one game off him. They're insane.

But it WAS easy, though. Sure Naito is a ranked player, and it's not beyond the realm of possibility for him to pull an upset, but it is extremely unlikely that he is ever a serious threat against any of the top 10 guys.

Light's Fox is simply on another level. Though I'm wondering why Naitosharp didn't try Sheik. I know she's generally considered an inferior character to Joker. However his Sheik is pretty darn good and may have done better than his Joker, especially in terms of edgeguarding Fox.

Joker is just too hard to play at top levels, the character is broken but you have to always perform and be aware requiring 100% focus all the time. It's just like diddy, when tweek is in the zone he's top 3 player but when he don't he seem lost ( + disease must not help ). Leo was really ahead of people pre quarantine so he could get away with it, but i think if he pick up joker now instead of " just spamming Nair with byleth ", he wouldn't win tournament as frequently as he was. Byleth is worse character but easier and maybe more consistent so even if TAS level joker > byleth, we can argue that in major tournament byleth > joker.

Getting the inputs down is only 10% of the battle; 90% is incorporating it into your gameplay. No one's going to risk using it in top 8 until it feels like second nature to them. Give it a month or so and you'll see a noticeable difference.
