Everyone is SO GOOD on this show…. the script, toni Collette, colin firth and the direction by antonio campos is SPOT ON . They all deserve nominations and awards in the upcoming season

The first scene of Toni Collette depicting the accident was graphic and real that I felt sick and lightheaded for like 8 hours. This show is just so well researched and written, unlike the documentary which was SHOCKINGLY biased.

I remember watching Forensic Files, and this case being one of the episodes. They also mentioned how Michael Peterson's first wife died in very similar circumstances years earlier. Such a fascinating case.

It wasn't his first wife. Patty is his first wife. The woman who died the same way was their friend and neighbor and also the mother of Margaret and Martha. Michael and Patty then adopted the girls.

Also if I remember correctly, the medical examiner in Germany at the time ruled her cause of death as an aneurysm that occurred prior to her falling down the stairs. Is that correct? In fact, I think the fall was a result of the aneurysm. I agree with you that this case is endlessly fascinating though!

I still think his behaviour during the time after is absolutely bizarre. The notes that the aunt found in his office talking about how he had this equation for life and that through this process that he explains in the letter that he came to the consul soon that there were three components to a happy life in of which one was literally labeled « m*rder ». For me, to have that letter compiled with the two seperate incidents and his bizarre behaviour - is just too much for me to overlook just because his kids vouched for him.
