Ukrainian person here. Yes, Semen is a really common name. It is pronounced as something like "S-ye-myon" in Russian and "Sa-man" in Ukrainian and can be adapted as "Simon"

I remember finding this game few years ago on Kongregate (I am 99% sure it was on Kongregate where I found it) but I never managed to go past the guy on the tank - he shoot me when I went left and when I went right. Then I decided that maybe other time I will figure it out. That other time never camed of course... Never played also original Stalker. Nor I plan to to be honest. But I am glad I saw this here - because for some reason my mind was returning to it every now and again and I was wondering about it sometimes at the back of my mind. Well... Thanks to you it got closure :D
