For real! The song is very profound. I know that's a lot of the songs from the '60s and the '70s have some deep meaning in them. Even the '80s. You move on into the '90s and it's still somewhat prevalent but 2000 onwards, it's mostly cookie cutter, recyclable, bubble gum paper-thin claptrap.

Stop Singers were a class A#1 family group, I saw them in Los Angels back in the 70's when this song was released, Pop Staples sang the beginning verse and daughter Mavis did the rest of the song; Simply fabulous!!! They released many more excellent hits in the coming years.
