The Star Knows - Revue Starlight (EP 2 Revue) 私たちの居る理由 // Piano Cover

Another Revue it is~
This one was a challenge to transcribe and play! How do you translate an entire orchestra and later a duet for a single piano? Not sure if it worked, but I did my best!
This took many, many tries (and honestly I'd still have to work on it for at least a week more, I'm not entirely satisfied) but it'll have to do since I'm leaving for college tomorrow, won't have access to the grand for a few weeks once again :')
SHEET MUSIC UPDATE since I won't be able to record I will however have some more time for transcribing, so for those waiting for Kara's Theme or Until the World Turned to Ash (or this arrangement?) I should get back to working on those soonish!
note: this revue is based on the song 'The Reason we're Here' ( 私たちの居る理由 ) from the theatre play

Yo, I`m glad I found your channel. It's always nice to see someone who uploads less popular pieces (I didn't even know about Revue but now I have urge to watch it). And besides it, your playing is really enjoyable, your arrangments are good and I dont know, you just have that "something" that many piano players on YT lack. Wow. I just had autoplay going for revue starlight music and wasn't looking at the screen. I totally was thinking "dang, this is probably off of the OST? I didn't realize they had piano renditions in the soundtrack!" Seriously I swore it was official till I glanced over towards the end! This is so good!!!!

I can feel the love and effort you put in here! This took so many tries and you honed the piece with each attempt! I could only imagine how tricky it must have been to translate a duet but YOU DID IT. I could close my eyes and perfectly hear the duet. This is just such a mesmerizing piece. I really love this! I know it's too late but I hope college is working out for you!

Thank you! I tweaked this arrangement a bit to make it more similar to the stage play version of the song, have you heard it? It's called 'The Reason We're Here', the same song mostly but sung by the whole cast, it has a softer feel to it too!

Caliko Yeah I've heard it, it was definitely my favorite stage song/and original song ! But since I've the original album with Star Knows that I'm looping for already few weeks literally, it's really different, and a really nice contrast Both versions are awesome. All instruments ... Soft/Powerful And few different notes and slightly different chords progressions on some parts, this is just perfect.

I love both versions too! It was really difficult to transcribe the orchestral parts of Star Knows, so when I simplified it a bit it suddenly began sounding like the stage song, since it's simpler. I guess I'd have to use a few more instruments to get the powerful feel of the Star Knows across!

Caliko There are so many details in this song, it's the most beautiful that I've heard this year, and by far. I think in a piano duet, it's maybe possible to do something to have the entire Star Knows powerful, overflowing with energy. Even if I have some doubts. The amount of details is beyond limits, And not to mention that it's a song extremely hard to reproduce with all the details accurately.

Two renditions in one week, you're too generous Caliko. I know you say it needs more work, but IIRC I heard the same thing about Valse di Fantastica, and both were really good as it is. As ironic as it sounds, I feel like feeling the final product isn't perfect is part of the fun. Anyways, great job! Also, have fun at college.
