I wish I could explain why I love this so much ...oddly it's the clunkiness of the collage that i prefer about this edition over Akashic. The otherworldy quality of Danielle's decks make them so perfect for spirit and spiritual readings. I get the vibe that this one is kinda lukewarm for you, as I mentioned when we chatted, and was SO pleased to see how your feelings evolved through this video. Thank you for adding that bit on at the end, really loved that!

I like this deck so much, the borderless edition is prettier imo but this deck is so beautiful in general. I'll get it one day when the international shipping isn't ridiculously expensive.

I just bought the same copy (I already have the Akashic edition and the Moonchild tarot). The reason why I bought this one now is because I usually use my Starchild Akashic for readings with my spirit guides, I have a special connection with that deck (not the same with my Moonchild, something I wasn't expecting at firs when I made that purchase), and when I saw the reprinting I "felt" that this deck could be use with the Akashic: how the Akashic are my guides talking, this one "feels" like could represent my own soul. In some point, I think that even my soul is spiritual she doesn't have to be "the same" as my guides. Similar but not exactly the same... We will see. Blessings for you Dawn Michelle. Beautiful and insightful walkthrough. I actually prefer most of the cards in this edition especially the Court cards. Since I found them impossible to shuffle because of the rubbery texture I sprayed them with Krylon Crystal Clear 1303 and now they shuffle like a dream! I was lucky enough to find a copy of the first Akashic edition which is now OOP and after spraying those too am combining them to form a new deck. The backs don't match but it's ok. Love it now ❤❤❤

I feel like this deck, for me, might be more of an oracle deck. I think it would be good for path working/daydreaming/projecting into… but also maybe even for exploring the Kaballah.. not quite sure why they at popped into my head. I guess the other worldliness.

I’m not a huge fan of the art or the people...but these decks have a wonderful “vibe” and that’s why I’ve got them. The colors are unusual and they read nicely.

Sharing the final reading on creativity in your personal care routine was terrific - and sage advice for everyone struggling in a similar way. Much appreciated. I wonder also if you know of any deck around in very similar colour tones, but without people, or where people are less critical? I am so glad you enjoyed it and found it helpful. Sometimes I just need to dive in and give a deck a go to see how I really feel about it. The Moonchild is a bit better in terms of the people and still has a similar feel of course. I can't think of another deck that has similar artwork with different people. Hi, Dawn! Thanks for this lovely walkthrough and for sharing your self-care spread with us-will try it for myself this weekend. 🤍🤍🤍 I’ve been on the fence with The Starchild (both the 1st edition reprint and the Akashic); I love Danielle’s artwork (I’ve both her oracle decks), but the art on both Starchild versions doesn’t get my heart running. The Hierophant card is an eye-sore (sob) and looks really out of place. Although you did make a good case for this deck, so I’ll probably give it a try after my Moonchild Tarot comes in. Fairly new to tarot so I find your videos, Dani’s, and Lisa’s very helpful! ✨

I am so glad you are finding our videos helpful! To be honest, I was on the fence with this one too... It definitely has some images that don't thrill me. But it reads like a dream. I don't know for sure, but I heard through the grapevine that it was by popular request. I guess a lot of people didn't care for the changes in the following editions and had been requesting a reprint of the original.
