The Starfield Recommended PC Specs Test | i5 - 12400f + RTX 2080 | Medium, High @ 1080p

I honestly feel like this game is badly optimized. I have an 6650XT, and normally get 45-90 fps on medium settings depending on the area I'm in on the game. Normally with me streaming/gaming i get 100 plus fps on titles like COD/Apex on competitive settings, and fortnite on med to high settings. I feel like it does need a lil work since the minimum requirements have issues with fps. I play Starfield daily still though.

Yeah man. They have some gpu optimizations to work out for sure! It is just a huge game and requires a lot of power but it seems like the 40 series nvidia cards and the new AMD cards run it very well of course

@@RAVisuals I've watched a few videos of test done with the 40 series from nvidia. Specifically the 4080, 4090, and from amd the 7800/7900XT. Both 1080, and 1440 were pretty sweet! I'm saving for one of those choices for the outstanding performance. Also I want to thank you for having dope videos. I've built my pc I currently own off your recommendations earlier this year. Dope creator my guy! 💪🏾

fck modern games, especially now with all of that dlss/fsr stuff they will put even less effort into pc ports

RTX 2080 is recommended but i cant see why, its a decent card but older and discontinued, and older architect cant keep up with some modern beasts Theres something that also happens a lot when i run starfield, Pausing the game or alt tabbing, sometimes even opening the inventory, fps throttles down to 15-30 for around 30 seconds to permanent until i relaunch

Yeah, kinda weird they put it as a recommended part when it runs the game like this. Honestly, the 2080 is still a great card in a lot of games. Just seems to struggle with this one.

You are at 60fps on medium. Thats what I get with my 6600xt same settings, it’s right where it should be honestly.

You would still think that at 1080p you’d be getting better frames than that but this game seems to prefer the newest hardware from what I’ve seen
