615 Music is a broadcast production music company based in Nashville, Tennessee. Founded by Randy Wachtler. 615 Music composes television news music packages and custom image campaigns for many television networks worldwide. 615 Music also operates in Los Angeles. The name 615 Music comes from Nashville's Area Code (615), where the company is based.
The company composed the last three image campaigns for NBC's Today morning news/entertainment program: "Live for Today" (2005-2006), "It's a New Day" (2006-2007), and "Why I Love Today" (2008). The "Live for Today" theme was nominated for an Emmy. 615 Music also has a production music library. On December 10, 2010, Warner Music Group announced its Warner/Chappell publishing division had acquired 615 Music.
Frasier is an American television sitcom broadcast on NBC for 11 seasons. It premiered on September 16, 1993, and ended on May 13, 2004. The program was created and produced by David Angell, Peter Casey, and David Lee (as Grub Street Productions), in association with Grammnet (2004) and Paramount Network Television.
WNBC (channel 4) is a television station in New York City serving as the flagship of the NBC network. It is owned and operated by the network's NBC Owned Television Stations division alongside Linden, New Jersey-licensed Telemundo station WNJU (channel 47). WNBC's studios and offices are co-located with NBC's corporate headquarters at 30 Rockefeller Plaza in Midtown Manhattan; WNJU's facilities in Fort Lee, New Jersey, also serve as WNBC's New Jersey news bureau. Through a channel-sharing agreement with WNJU, the two stations transmit using WNJU's spectrum from an antenna atop One World Trade Center.
WNBC is the oldest continuously operating commercial television station in the United States.

What I love the most about this jingle is the line, "Just watch us now, you'll see. This is the only place to be." Effectively, this alludes to four of NBC's past slogans. "Just Watch Us Now" (1982) "NB-See Us" (1978) The "only" from "Come Home to the Best, Only on NBC" (1988 and '89) "The Place to Be" (1990 and '91)

They did that for a local version of “Come Home To The Best (year two)” on my channel where the second verse actually starts “Ooooooooohoooooooo-yeah! Our pride is showing, our strength is growning.”

It also spawned the short-lived Café Americain (the precursor to Friends), which saw return of Valerie Bertinelli to television for the first time since One Day at a Time’s cancellation in 1984.

My parents used to watch that show, but by the time of the last episode, they had lost interest in it. Thanks to the entire series being available on DVD in the UK, I could see why. It took a huge hit in quality after Jimmy Smits and Susan Dey walked out. But instead of Rick Schroder’s newly legal kiester, we get David Schwimmer’s unsightly punam. At least they gave Lynne Thigpen a recurring role to make up for *Gimme A Break!* pushing her over for Rosie O’Donnell.

I barely remember seeing the second year of that campaign, largely because NBC in the place where I live never used the slogan to begin with because the CBS station took it first.

Why is Bill Cosby in this campaign? I thought his mystery show wasn’t until next season and his game show was syndicated. Was the former originally intended for the 1993-1994 season but pushed back a year? Yes, the idea of him trying to solve crimes is amusing in hindsight. Almost as funny as the idea of him being an obstetrician. Or the Disney version of Satan. Bob Hope being there for his 90th birthday (and one of his last specials before retiring) was a no-brainer.
