The Stars, Like Dust Audiobook, by Isaac Asimov, read by Stephen Thorne -
Earth is a radioactive wasteland and a tyrannical empire rules over many planets. The novel follows the adventures of Biron Farrill, a young man who escapes from Earth after an assassination attempt and tries to find out who killed his father, a rebel leader on the planet Nephelos. Along the way, he meets Sander Jonti, a mysterious agent who helps him evade the Tyranni, the ruthless rulers of the empire. He also falls in love with Artemisia, the daughter of the Direktor of Rhodia, a planet that is secretly planning to revolt against the Tyranni. Biron and his allies discover that there is an ancient document hidden somewhere in the galaxy that could inspire the oppressed planets to fight for their freedom. The document turns out to be the United States Constitution, a relic from Earth's past that has been forgotten by most people. The novel ends with Biron and Artemisia finding the Constitution and deciding to join the rebellion against the Tyranni.

I think this is by far his worst book, like a weak parody of an E E Doc Smith: maybe if I'd grown up in a regime that made children make pledges to a rag everyday I'd feel differently, but since I don't drink vodka, didn't get taught about lebensraum and know how to spell colour properly, that wasn't the case.
