Normally I agree that you should support the other players who don't bot out, but this is the PURPLE player we're talking about here...

Not being win obsessed might be weird but I'm the same. Another example other than going out of my way to give the player who doesn't bot out 2nd is that I'm perfectly happy to favour revenge over a win. If a player slams me for no logical reason, I am perfectly fine to spend the rest of my game dragging them down with me rather than doing the "objectively" correct play which is to just hide or cap stack while I recover. Taking a card and passing is just such a boring way to play the game. I'd rather lose in a blaze of glory or giving respect to an opponent who isn't a literal baby who quits instantly than to always play for the win.

I had this exact same map setup, with the exact same starting, with 4 players, literally yesterday. Exact same blizzards and unit placements. Actually crazy.
@BeukdeupКүн бұрын
Were you purple?
@XikiniКүн бұрын
@Beukdeup I usually play as black if I can. Otherwise red/blue/green/yellow. Lol

Fixed true random is the best im playing spaceport sigma on that settings

I just accidentally ended up in a fixed caps also accidentally but got the god hold on half the board by pretending to be a buffoon in an alliance with a Master who was trying to direct me how to play :D This map is truly special.

Normalize not caring about other players placement. The game designer should worry about it, not the player.

I always prioritize winning first, but I'll next I'll give remaining human opponents preference

I'm always poor purple in every game I play... usually it's at least two people choosing to slam me while I person is just snowballing un-checked.

Cap selection is important but fixed caps can be unforgiving. If you get into an early war in fixed it’s usually just over for both of you

I think we just keep Jonathan Schrantz'ing it up, it's worked out plenty well so far.

@ChristianAkacroКүн бұрын
@@morevampirechicken Honest! Maybe it's because I use the other colour blind option because I find it very hard to distinguish pink and red on your vids. I could see the game making the colours you see local to you since it doesn't really matter if it's the same for everyone. But you'd think you'd notice that in some of the collab vids you do then.
@BaneWilliamsКүн бұрын
I'm 100% with you VC. I care more about other players enjoyment of the game (as well as my own of course) over winning in a lot of situations. I think if ranked actually was competent in RISK that would change, but since it's a complete joke I just don't care. I'm here to have fun, and if someone is going to stay in, especially in fixed where I know I can ensure there is nothing they can do then so be it.

All of this because the game gives placement to bots. Let it be that bots do not count towards placement and you have a healthy game.

Rewarding the human player is the respectable thing to do. Why reward the people that quit? I understand securing the win, but not killing the human player first.

@morevampirechickenКүн бұрын
Oh no! It is definitely a race to snowball so I think it makes sense to try to dominate a pocket at the start and control your hold side before moving into the middle. Hopefully my Wednesday main channel video will be instructive for you.
