All the pop culture references made this look some dumb. Like the Nostalgia Critic said about parodies, they are funny if they were altered into "what if this happened instead" without straying too far from the original source. Blazing Saddles was funny because it was a western parody throughout out most of the movie and there were little to no pop culture references. This trailer would have been if they parodied both Hunger Games and Battle Royal and the jokes would make sense only in the context of the movie itself.

Doesn't mean these particular types of dated parodies aren't insulting to intelligence, unlike the true parody makers of the past. The problem is that these creators don't make real jokes, just random references to whatever's popular with no explanation or context, making these films lazy, dated and offensive to filmmaking. Truly good parodies really take the time to think over what they make fun of, and focus it on one subject matter, rather than throwing in pop culture references at random.

In the first of The Starving Games, look what they wrote on the signs in the trailer and on the posters: "1) from the guys who cooked up Date Movie, Meet The Spartans and Vampires Suck. 2) from the team who brought you Date Movie, Meet The Spartans and Vampires Suck. 3) from the makers of Date Movie, Epic Movie and Meet The Spartans. 4) from the guys who brought you Meet The Spartans and Vampires Suck". Instead of adding this signs: "from the guys who brought you Date Movie, Epic Movie, Meet The Spartans and Vampires Suck". In the second of Super Fast, watch what they just left the signs in the trailer and in the posters: "1) from the filmmakers of The Starving Games, Meet The Spartans and Vampires Suck. 2) from the guys who brought you Meet The Spartans and The Starving Games. 3) from the guys who brought you Meet The Spartans and Scary Movie". Instead of putting this correct sign: "from the guys who brought you Meet The Spartans, Vampires Suck and The Starving Games". There are 4 incorrections from The Starving Games and 3 incorrections from Super Fast. They can't even learn to put movies in order and not putting them unorder. It is bullshit.
