Raxx is the most thorough streamer TESTING (not playing, per se) the PTR. Everyone else I've watched is farming mythics, power leveling, getting frustrated stuff doesn't work and then going back to season 4, etc. Make this man a partner and/or give him a raise, Blizzard!

Why would blizzard do this? He is providing free labor. It doesn't get better than that for a business. When a corporation has an idea ( and by corporation, i mean an employee, but the CEO takes the credit) and another entity takes their idea. the company will sue to protect their "intellectual property" and recoup their profits. When someone like Raxx is constantly improving the game, but not being paid for their ideas, it is called "just another day in our beautifully fair economic system".

It really makes me mad that he called himself a loser while talking to the Blizzard people - not once, but *twice!* Raxx should realize not only that he's a hero, but also that by disrespecting himself he also disrespects the many people who follow and love him. its not so easy - they have 3 month developement time.. With concepting, testing, commiting builds and stuff that boils down to maybe a month of actual programming - sometimes you have to do the "most bang for your buck" approach. like yes turning into a playable version of lillith for a wave would be super cool, but it would take way too much time for example. Its not always about the vision but also managing the project sadly. Im very sure the gamedesigners have the wildest ideas for the game but 3 month is nothing in gamedevelopement and if you can create new gameplay by more or less recycling other code or use functions you already have thats usually the way to go if you are on a time limit. There is actually something they could learn from POE though now that they can start to plan ahead more instead of reacting to issues in the game. GGG uses 4 Teams for their seasons but they start at the same time. So season 4 has a full year of development and season 1 only 3 month - once one team is finished the people jump to the next on in line - ending with seasons that increase in size. And for the later seasons stuff like Raxx mentioned could more easily be introduced

Things I'd like to see in the game: 1. The ability to turn any dungeon into a nightmare dungeon in the field. Why? I see a whisper dungeon, and instead of absolutely demolishing it with little/no challenge, it would be nice if I could choose to make it Nightmare, and work on some glyphs, too. There could be a little shrine outside the dungeon, and it would cost the player sigil powder. The higher the Nightmare, the more sigil powder it would cost. Could even let the player choose what kind of boost they’d like (Extra shrines, glyph XP, etc.) for even MORE sigil powder. Right now, we have way too much powder, and it isn’t even worth the time breaking down sigils I won’t be using. 2. More mini-bosses like the butcher spread out through the world and dungeons. 3. Have the ability to upgrade yellows to legendary (like D3). Maybe this could cost Scattered Prisms, and have at least 1 Greater Affix, to make it worthwhile compared to just farming Helltides?

Rob beat tier 8 and got Two 1GA items and one unique from the 250 chest. From the gold chest he got about 400-500k gold. 😂

Yeah and especially since something like helltide showers you with loot anyways and the new event gives you like 2-4 items for 10 minutes? Blood maiden alone drops like 8 legos when you use 1 heart.

It's never really been about the way of giving the feedback or even the feedback itself. The problematic part has always been getting the other side to HEAR the feedback. Sure, they said a million times they're hearing it, but they barely ever act on it. There just seem to be some visions or whatever you wanna call them that they won't budge on, and some of them are really bad visions/philiosophies.

Chain Lightning sorc needs x100 dmg atm. Took me 5m to kill a pit 61 boss. I was doing 200-500k dmg per crit (not hit) with shako, esus, 2h staff with tempered, masterworked (not fully) and a lot of GA gear.

I totally agree with the difficulty with rerolling to get a specific affix. Specially the ones with ranks to a skill or passive.

Yeah rolling is to the point where you are waiting for an item to drop with ranks to a core skill or passive or CDR already on it so you're trying to roll something on it like attack speed or crit chance which are less weighted. I think they need to rework the weight of certain rolls or the gold cap needs to be set at like 500k. Even if it took me 50 rolls to get plus 3 to my skill it'd still only be like 25m which you can make easily back running whispers for a half hour or just selling your loot in-between runs. At the current rate, 50 rolls would be well over 100m.

The thing that makes a game like Hades 2 so amazing is the fact that no two runs are ever the same, take that same philosophy, apply it to this new game mode, success. Make every decision impactful, should I pick red or blue, sometimes it will pay off and you become ridiculously over powered, but most times you have to put some work in to get the job done. Either way, it's rewarding.

And don't they have 2 different teams working in parallel, or people working on the core of the next season before they're finished with one, or even just an idea of the next season? My point being, its not like, every 3 months the entire team sits down and brainstorms for ideas, develop prototypes and so on, and then 1 month in they agree and start working, they have this stuff worked out before hand.. Or maybe they don't, and thats why the seasons are so lackluster. I don't understand how 10 people developed leagues for POE for almost a year on a 3 months schedule, but D4 with a 500 person team can't add interesting modifiers to a wave clear gamemode.

I did some very sparse testing and it took me almost 100 rolls to get a +Skills on Amulet. It took another 100 rolls to get +Skills on Pants+Gloves. This isnt even considering if its the skill or passive you want either. The odds are terrible it seems 😭

I like that they have changed the anvil symbol on my gears tempered affixes, to small symbols corespondent to what group och tempering they are from. thumbs up for that little change, making it easier to remember where the tempered stat is coming from

"Class balance seems off" - this is quite an understatement. Teleport nerfed, focus nerfed, flame shield nerfed, ice armor nerfed, Debilitatin Roar nerfed, Shadowblight nerfed, Victimize nerfed, etc Meanwhile, Barb holding one button to auto-attack with Bash... Yeah, this game is perfectly (un)balanced. They will nerf everything to the ground outside the Gushing Wounds of course. And Barb will get 50% Polearms buff and new Aspect to pull in and do another 10%[x] dmg.

The event feels like it was designed by bean counters. "What do you mean they don't like it? But we give them 10% more spawns in column 16, if you add the +2 to drops from column 73 that makes the rewards 12.37% better and the standard deviation on final reward will be 3.4 standard deviations" ....snooooore

First thing I noticed was color changes and small improvements to UI (changed to the way tempers appear on your gear for example ) Also, I play Pen shot rouge and the first thing I noticed was how zoomed out the FOV seemed compared to normal. Not sure that was even mentioned or if anyone else noticed?

Super buggy PTR , classes feel nerfed because enemies are bugged to take next to no damage sometimes. The new endgame hoard mode is just not it. Also if 50 total aspects/ uniques combined is all we are getting I feel we are truly going “back to hell” for season 5

Would appreciate it if it wasn’t so buggy so that we could give accurate feedback on the PTR, the pit bosses are bugged to take no damage and then sometimes be one shot. Not to mention The 250 chest at the end of new Endgame Mode only drops 3 GA items and a scroll. They need to increase the mob density and amount of loot you get to make those 10 minutes feel interesting and worth it to grind the mode. I want to give positive feedback but this PTR season 5 preview seems to be a lot less exciting than season 4 so far. Fingers crossed that the devs get the right feedback and add additional content to season 5.

@@JB-qk5mn the PTR IS meant for testing haha. That’s exactly why they will be patching all the bugs today in order to get more accurate feedback. The one that is especially important is the damage not registering or completely one shorting everything. Not asking for perfect just asking for more effort and a better prepared PTR state for testing.

The game needs an armory system, I am ok with expensive re-rolls.. I just hate having to re-roll even if its free as its very clunky. Having an armory to allow each player at least 3 pre-set specs is ideal IMO.

It depends on how they are doing this new season event, it looks like they already plan to add it permanently, so they should first increase the ease to get the compass for the season, then lower it afterwards when other activities come in, like poe does.

Funny how in theory you can run around with 1 Normal Elixir+ 1 Antivenin + 3 Types of Incense, but do that and youlll burn through 10k Angelbreath in one day. (not that anyone has that much lol)

I've been a D4 supporter since before launch. I've always defended it against the "D4 bad" stuff, but I haven't even played the PTR and I'm pretty disappointed with season 5. This new infernal whatever seems mind-numbingly boring. I don't even want to try it out once, so season 5 will be almost identical to season 4.

I was the same as you in the beginning. But the truth is Blizzard actively scares people with talent and ideas away and replaces them with undergrads fresh out of university just so they can slash their salary in half. It is exploitation of their workers and their IP and if there was no resounding wave of "wow this game is baaaaad" Blizzard would think "wow what a succesfull strategy, lets replace all our creative execs for even bigger profit margins". Companies that dont respect their customers, their workers or even their IPs dont deserve to be defended blindly, because it only leads to more capitalist bullshit

If they're not fixing tempering (they're not) then I don't want to play. Tempering is the endgame. Tempering/GAs is the chase. I could play the entire season and see only ONE relevant multi-GA item, and there's an extremely high chance it will brick. Tempering reset or no season 5.

They wouldn't even need to touch tempering if they included an option for players to trade effectively. The items you need drop, just not for you. So all they need is either give us a little bit more control over the affixes in tempering, or let us trade in a crafted environment for it

Firstly it's just the PTR not the season, they have loads of time to change things and can probably address 95% of their feedback in at least some way, which as with S4 can add up to a massive improvement. Second they did say there will be actual seasonal content on top of what's in the PTR.

Great video raxx. I think what would help sorc is allowing us to have one more enchantment slots and allowing us to have three weapons. Two wands and a focus, a staff a wand and a focus. It's kind of obvious why Barb and Rogue are so good, and it's partly because Rogue has three weapon slots, and Barb has four. I also think Axial Conduit should just be a legendary aspect just like how gravitational is for BL, there needs to be more regular aspects that change skills in a fun way like gravitational that shouldn't be tied to uniques like Axial.

Druid aspects have really nice synergy. The problem becomes that you have to use too many slots developing that synergy and dont have much room for multiplyers, and the multiplyers you can squeeze in arent providing enough damage.

Right now in S4 I tried to get a +2 to Hellbent Commander on Amulet on my Necromancer, I rerolled for around 2200 Angels Breath and, if I remember correctly, around 1,5 billion gold before I got it...

For attribute rolling, they need to have 5 choices, or like tempering, choose an area of stats to receive when re-rolling.

I agree about rerolling costs. I tried rerolling two pieces of gear and I was down 40m gold before I even realized. Getting to 100, I only made 140m so you might imagine I was confused. I propose rerolling be capped at 1m gold.

Nice Feedback Rax. Just FYI, I opened 6 Mystery Chests last night and didn't get a compass from any of them. Got 3 from opening the dozen+ regular chests. No scrolls for upgrades.

Excelente points Raxx! I've been annoyed with rerolling affixes since D3 and I personally believe x2 small changes can go a long way. 1 - You can't reroll the same result or inferior than your current result (if you are rerolling Strength you can't get another STR result other than an improvement). 2- If your selected stat is maxed out, it can never appear again, just other results. (If you have 50 Crit Damage *max* selecting it as a reroll will show new results but not offer anything crit damage related and you can keep using it in order to get something new). Obviously there are other ways, but this would help filter useless results and then we can tackle the rarer affixes weight/roll chance.

Have the ghost of a previous character from the past spawn you can protect, and they give you a random aggro shrine. If the character survives you get a bonus loot. The random character has a nemesis boss spawn.

i know people have already said this, but I super appreciate that you actually Test the PTR and not just play the PTR. I remember watching you do the S4 PTR where you took the time to go through and talk about every single UI choice with the new tempering/masterworking system and people complaining to you about not going out and playing the game. The fact that you take the time to evaluate every single small detail is so instrumental to any programmer/game dev/etc, and I commend you greatly for it. If i ever make any sort of interactive system, I know I would want you to test it

In groups you can pull all 3 choices after waves, as a 4 man have someone emote and the other 3 people click as they emote. Gets all 3

In the event randomly spawn tormented bosses (duriel, andariel, zir etc) goblin shrines, etc. Make a counter that tracks how much you kill "ghostshards" and you can gamble on a ghost seller for specific items, give us map things to make it harder but farm specific items, etc... There are so many options

It's honestly true. Druids are rough right now. I've tried the newly "buffed" landslide druid but it is actually still only a fraction of what it was with shepherd. They need to multiply druid damage by 50-100x to even keep them in the same league as barbarian.

For the rerolling system, need to add a third line to select an additional stat, if they cannot balance the gold reroll, then at least there will be a variation in the choice.

Enchanting is for sure one of the biggest issues right now. The price of it needs to be nerfed into the ground and then capped at around 1mil at the most, otherwise, it's just another way to soft-brick items if they get too far into the reroll attempts. On the infernal hordes: I really think the devs should just go play the popular roguelites and just copy the fun, crazy "powers" that you can get during runs in those games. Adapt them to fit D4 of course, but if you've never made a roguelite, go look at what works in them lol.
