It can definitely be tough, especially when it comes to consistently putting out videos that you are satisfied with. There must be a balance between productivity(?) and creativity somewhere...... the intersection of providing something new, and of value, all while ensuring that it's something that people are actually interested in. I could go on forever. The joys of content creation!

@fhtv hey i really enjoyed the video, when you talked about adding the background images for viewer retention, that was really interesting to me because I personally try to refrain from consuming that kind of content, which passively melts my brain, as much as possible, which is like very hard as I am sure you know. I understand that to be youtouber you’re like forced to do conten that way but I had the idea that maybe as a positive example you could provide the content of your videos in addition to the normal videos on a second Chanel with videos just being audio and a white background or just the script as a document or something like that. as someone studying a fashion major I realize fashion itself is a trend right now and most of the people creating content aren't really doing it for the seek of exploring or bringing value to the industry but simple because is a good excuse to exactly like you pointed " create content" the positive side is that people are exploring different styles and you can actually see a change plus the fact that is not common at all to se a trend that just happens in the media and not in real life and you can actually identify those trends in young people at least that's the case in mexico where I think there's a lot of exploration of personal style in a good proportion of the country

there is no unique human experience. as much as id like to say my tastes and interests are unique, nearly all of those things have been fed to me in one way or another by algorithms and there are thousands of people just like me who wear the same clothes and listen to the same music and do the same things. i try to live in the moment as much as possible and refrain from short form brain harvesting "content" like tiktok and reels but its hard to get over the fomo that comes with doing that. cruel world we live in

@@fhtv i think the solution to this , though it sounds silly is literally to view yourself as who you are. A small piece in the grand scheme of the world. You're hobbies might not be unique but that also means you're not alone in said hobby. Every thing we as humans have is because of collective effort no one person alone accomplished anything its off of the backs of the people before whether their contribution is direct or not. So instead of viewing your interests and tastes as un unique view them as a contribution or part of a larger community.

This exact philosophy killed my will to create videos. I was creating highly avant-garde videos that didn't do well, had to change my style to be more consistent and that killed my desire to make anything at all. That and the rampant censorship that caused a lot of my older videos to get destroyed in the algorithm.

Fashion content lol. I never gave a damn about this content stuff and people tell me regularly that they like my style and that it seems more unique rather than trendy. I dont want to show off or anything. I just want to say that you can find inspiration outside, in nature in busy streets etc. You dont need to browse social media for hours to see whats cool and whats not. Check out stuff especially vintage stores and wear what you like. Wewr what you would like to try and see if it works out for you. Also i dont know if this is the case here... But i see so many videos like this where people rant or talk about sustainability in fashion etc. And then they just go on with their regular content and nothing changes. If you think this is an issue I would love to see where you go with this.

I guess at the end of the day in any medium of art there will be the vast majority of people who are consumers that typically just recycle what’s already been done. Then a small portion of creatives that also don’t have anything intriguing to say, and then there’s the small 5% or so, of people that are in the game for different reasons, in it for the love of the process and craft. And they’re the ones that are willing to innovate and fail. That is, they’re the ones that are willing to be vulnerable and really express themselves; this is the mark of an artist, not a follower.

Whilst I agree with your sentiment, I'd hate to break it to you but people who truly appreciate fashion and are willing to sit through a 5 hour documentary on some niche designer, to listen to deep fashion philosophical opinions or even to seek out new & upcoming designers are quite limited. Whether me or you like it or not, some people (and by some people I mean most people) are only participating in the fashion industry because it will make them look glamourous, so they can fit into a certain aesthetic, look more masculine, look more put together and professional, for the funny memes, the surface dribble that you and I disdain. So unfortunately there's a ceiling for the amount of people who are into serious clothing content because unfortunately, you need the personality and deep interest for such deep discussion of a certain topic and it's an innate thing not learnt thing. It's why everyone is not an Olympic athelete/Multilingual combo despite how interconnected we are and how much info is at our fingertips. I also dislike your 'roasting' of videos that you akin to horoscopes, because clothing (much like other art forms) has an anthropological element that draws people in.
