My issue isn’t the switching its the forced switching to a player then the inability to switch off, for example i put a cross in and for some reason it gives me the left back on the half way line and doesnt let me switch off him, or on a goalkick i have a guy standing to win the header but instead it controls and runs the Centreback about 15 yards away and i hammer the LB or the Right Stick to no avail, it wants me to control the CB and wont let me switch off.

Admittedly I’ve not bought fifa 20 and don’t plan to so this doesn’t impact me; but my WiFi in my uni accommodation past 2 years has been really poor and so I was never able to play games online. The only way I could play was on single player seasons or I’d play career mode. Find it disappointing that they’ve cut out a section of players with poor internet by needlessly removing single player seasons

Nep very clearly and eloquently put, overall on your comments: - The technical issues are a basic glaring issues that should have been ironed out. As you alluded to in a previous post there must be some real underlying issues that may be holding up some features. Specifically since the Ndombele release and player pick pack SBC they've held back which i think does mask deeper issues. - The basic human mistakes are forgivable but nonetheless disappointing in a multibillion dollar business that should have multiple check points. From my perspective the biggest glaring issue is again the pace and the 1 depth merchants: - Pace In Defending - the change to the words Def Awareness are massive but have no bearing on defensive positioning hence why change the term??. Pace should be a factor but not override the ability of a player to be in the right place defensively as attack positioning in the other side of the game. Players like pique who should be in people's teams because of his actual ability are being ignored for two out of 29 stats which is nuts. - 1 depth merchants - This is just of a product of the game in how it is made, you indicated one of the people you played had some tips on how to overcome this can you share please. However not making some changes that put pressure to push wider game play in attack that would overload the full back issue and encourage more adventurous play is again lazy Just two final points that i will leave here .. 1)There have been some clear changes to the secondary contain which by down grading enhances the drop back method that makes the playing experience 2) "Strength will be enhanced" - what if target men were actually used? players like giroud where they use strength to create space would provide the community with more styles of play and again vary people's teams and negate negative tactics Awesome content as ever and well delivered to boot - thank you for your hard work in this community

In regards to the "Apply Recommended Consumable" on the wheel, it does show other stuff, like position changes, if the player is out of position and has like 20+ on the contracts. It can also show player stat boost consumables.

I love FIFA. I work a standard 9-5 job. I go to work, I'll grab a drink with friends, watch football on the weekends with them, and I play FIFA. I have ZERO objectives that earn me XP left to complete. ZERO. It is a Wednesday, in the second week of the game cycle, and I have completed every season objective that there is, and I am the very definition of a casual player. It is frustrating, that EA has essentially put a 'paywall' on the amount of XP and progress that I can make toward one of those storyline players. That, as Nep mentioned, isn't good enough to even get into my team. It is unbelievably frustrating that I WANT to play FIFA, but have nothing to gain from doing so.

How amazing would it be if they added a new cup/tournament style gamemode in FUT. EA can put various cups with different squad requirements that reward you with some sort of pack for winning the whole thing. To make sure people don't grind this mode rather than draft they could make it so you only get a pack the first time you win the tournament or maybe there's an entry fee of 5k or something. This would be a great, new addition.

Was just listening there and thought of a good idea for milestones, say you have a player you really really enjoy and you have milestones for score say 500 goals with a certain player and once unlocked you get 1 point to improve any selected card stat and make it repeatable to an extent that way everyone would have their favourite players and everyone’s would be different

I would work on my Martial as he is my favourite player right now. They could even allow 3 per club that you can invest in and build up so that you can create a core nucleus of players for your club, maybe like one FWD, one MID one DEF. Idea has a lot of potential!

In game, win or lose my two biggest issues are my players, regardless of how I change,not changing or changing to someone I haven't flicked towards and deflecting tackles/saves to my opponent, it either happens 9/10 tackles I make or doesn't happen at all. Out of game, the menu switching, filters resetting etc is pathetic. I refuse to say it's broken because for something to be broken it has to be complete first.. This is unfinished.

I’d like them to give people a reason to play with bronze and silver cards, theyre literally just sbc fodder now. I remember 5 or so years ago you’d at least always start with a bronze team actually have to play with it a bit and slowly upgrade positions. But also yeh, just more objectives, Im not hardcore but play a fair bit and have absolutely no reason to go on. Find SB’s boring and im already easily rank 1 in rivals.

Something that gets widely overlooked in the FUT community but that's completely OUTRAGEOUS in my opinion is that squads in quick play or career mode or anything offline weren't up to date until 2 weeks after release! (Rebic still at Frankfurt, Sanches still at Bayern, etc......)

I really don’t get why ea just make the daily objectives the exact same every day with the exact same xp reward. I’d love daily objectives to be a bit harder and get a 15k pack or something as the final rewards instead of 60xp

Most of us don't have time to sit down all day and "semi-casually" play 15 games a day which would take over 4+ hours. Lets not forget that most casual players aren't good enough to complete all challenges first try and may take multiple attempts. You seem to love bagging EA even though there is quite a large consensus out there that our loving both the gameplay and the additions that EA have made to Fifa 20.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but in Fortnite they also set a timewall for the max rank battle pass skin. You either buy the ranks or have to grind via daily and weekly objectives. You also gain stars by ranking up outside of the battlepass but only for rank 10-15-20-25 etc. Still think the current system in FIFA is stupid and renders cards like that Zaha useless, but it's not that uncommon to set a certain timewall for achieving max rank items.

Coming from somebody who lives in the dead center of the U.S., I haven’t played a single online match without speed up lag. All I can enjoy is squad battles because offline play is the only way I can have a somewhat positive gameplay experience. Other than the poor responsiveness of course. I turned off timed shooting because the lack of responsiveness with pressing shoot was causing me to red time many goal scoring opportunities.

One of the ways you can tackle pitfalls against the AI is knowing your own maximum "Difficulty Level" abilities matching up against the opponents. For example, my current rated team played against an 84 rated team on TOTW (TEAM OF THE WEEK) 4 and I chose Semi-Pro cause for one my rating wasn't matching up to the opposition and 2 the AI and EA servers would go to any lengths to try and screw anyone over. I know cause I had about half a year of it on "Single Player Mode" on FIFA 19 - Ultimate Team (Standard Edition) game were AI relentlessly go to ridiculous lengths to take out the fun element of FIFA gaming. The thing that has changed on "Single Player Mode" is that they only take into account the first 40 games you play in Squad Battles to determine your actual rank and rewards you achieve for that week.

By that time any mid tier player probably wouldnt make your team. His complaints dont make sense but i understand some of it such as unresponsiveness. And the season objectives but there are too many little things hes complaining about with the game being out for only 2 weeks. They have a 2nd and a 3rd maybe 4th season still coming. We’re still 2 weeks in, it doesnt make sense to complain.

Uncreative Name hey man, you have all the right to enjoy the game. My whole point is that the game is fundamentally broken, therefore it’s unfinished. EA have somehow released a game at full price without almost testing every mode in the game and every little think in the game. They’re a multimillion company ffs. The gameplay is unresponsive in all the modes, and other modes like career mode are so riddled with bugs and glitches that it’s unplayable. Again, I want to emphasize that it’s okay that you’re enjoying it like many others, but the game is broken and we shouldn’t be settling for what we have right now.

I think the biggest problem is, the fact they bring a new game out every year. already now, they are focusing on fifa 2021. They have gotten the sales for fifa 20 so no need to focus on it. 1 year isn't long enough to make a brand new game. Therefore they use the same as the year before with tweaks.

I experience basically all of the problems you described, the problem with the game not registering you pressing pass or using the analogue stick to do a skill move is terrible for me and puts me in a situation where I don’t know what to do as the the player I’ve tried to put a ball through to is now offside and I’ve missed the opportunity to go through on goal.

It’s ridiculous how your loosing one nil in the 30th minute and when the opponent looses connection no fault on your own it still goes down as a loss in your record!! With in the second half of your game you could easily pull it back and win the game but ea decide to give a loss on your record to both opponents!!!

Not everyone is good enough to play FUT Champs to a high level but Squad Battles can be a lot more accessible for people to play at World Class/ Legendary most games. I easily get Elite 1 every week, but the gap to top 100 is often 2x my score. They need to add more ranks to close the gap between top 100 and Elite, maybe a Diamond ranking.

One thing that wasnt eluded to on this vid was the season xp glitch ? Ie me completing a level, going to grab my reward (pack/tifo) then being kicked out of ultimate team, the objective would still be completed but im now not level 16 or whatever, i now dont have the opportunity to ever gain that xp again, hands down the most frustrating part of this game for me.

I would recommend you to look at the Madden objectives as EA is very close there to what you want. Their card structure is a bit different so difficult to compare 1:1 BUT: - They have a objectives that reward you for milestone in every aspects of the game (from wins, over interceptions to sacks made) - Season objectives with player rewards - TOTW objectives with totw player rewards - real live event objectives - AND a competitive currency to unlock special cards or packs you only get by winning games even the daily objective (win two games and buy a pack) is more engaging as there are milestones for completing the daily sets. It probably also has its flaws but the essence of the system would benefit FIFA

hey nep, I have played every single ultimate team in every sport game and one thing I take away from all the other games is moments challenges. For example in MLB the Show 19 they have a moments set of like 30 games and after all those games you earn a special card (a decent card) but after that set they release more set and all those set cards go towards a ultimate reward . If EA can implement that into the game I don’t see why people wouldn’t be grind the game for hours and hours

In this case, we are all in the same place, all at the same time. And I can see why that frustrates the heavy players. I play 2500 games a cycle. I love FIFA. Don’t question that. Great video Nep, Squad battles changes are great and they made playing against the team of the week relevant, but they didnt go far enough. you can play on beginner, bang in 5 goals and put the controller down, this would get you elite 3 rewards for not playing on the easiest level. (I play on legend and get elite 1). they need to restructure the rewards points and rewards in this mode. there either needs to be a reward between elite 1 and top 100 to reward those that only just miss out on the top 100 or they need to move the goal posts on points needed. I'm a bit disappointed that they removed offline seasons as once you got into div 1 you got some reasonably good rewards for doing it. I also think they need to link fut champs results with rivals division placement, this would help to stop players purposely relegating themselves for 'easy wins' which happened a lot last year.
