The real deterrents to selling in public lobbies now are the endless godmode / off radar / damage multiplier glitches rampant on all platforms. Your standard griefer who played "fair" with absolutely no exploits was a nuisance but manageable. Sometimes you won, usually you lost your cargo. Currently there's almost a 100% chance you'll lose your cargo and get spawn trapped after. I think Rockstar allows selling in private lobbies now because the either have no intention of or cannot fix the exploits without either an overhaul of the architecture of the game or building dedicated servers for it. And we all know that aint happening on a 10 year old product

This is pretty much it. I've been saying this for years that most griefers aren't idiots. They want a reaction. Most of them pretend to care about things like KD or that sweet 2k 😋. Thank you for another excellent video. Grinding in empty lobbies is fine if you're really low on dosh. I personally find the grind extremely boring if there isn't a challenge and will only sell in populated lobbies. This usually means that I start off the session by serial-raping any perceived griefer in the lobby until they rage-quit. When only the pvp rifle dancers and the grinders are left, I go for it.

I once had a guy try to blow up my cargo and kill us while my friend and I were delivering, we defended it and killed him, delivered it and moved on so the griefer goes for other lower level players in the lobby. More time passes and the griefer himself goes to sell his own cargo and so happens to be quite close, we make a quick detour and send a few love missiles his way destroying his stuff. He texts me in game saying "I hope I'm happy with myself" and that "People like me ruin this game" all in caps. So it was okay for him to do it to others, but not okay for it to be done back to him. Had a good laugh at that one.

I had a similar situation. MKII griefer blew up me and several people in Sandy Shores then proceeds to sell his night club goods. I then orb him and he runs back to his night club and I guess stays on the screen that asks what garage he wanted to go to because I didn't see him on the map at all for several minutes and I just left. I have 200+ million dollars so one orb was basically chump change for me and I felt like it was worth it to get him once for myself and the others he blew up. Normally I don't like destroying cargo, even when I was trolling others.

Yesterday I was doing an mic sell mission. It gave me three helicopters so I got to work. When I was flying the first one back to the others, it said my other 2 were destroyed. I was genuinely surprised bc it hasn’t happened to me in a while. I just flew over to the guy on my mk2 and blew him up once as a sort of “I didn’t appreciate that” lesson. I chose not to keep blowing him up bc fighting in gta v is mindless when they just keep respawning and killing their self.

Once I had bought everything I wanted, and gained as much wealth as I desired for the foreseeable future, I needed a purpose to continue playing this game which I enjoyed. As someone who started as a grinder, I decided that all of that money should have a purpose for which it is used, one which I would enjoy. So given my enjoyment of pvp, and experiences at the hands of griefers during my laborious journey, I used that money to accrue an arsenal of every piece of military equipment I would need to kill anyone in any situation. In addition, I gained the skills necessary to use them in service of my goal, which was to kill griefers and KD warriors. Throughout the months that followed, I gathered my friends, and together we searched for who we saw as villains, with the intention of destroying their desire to stay in said lobby. Cargo/heist griefers, noob killers, those whose KD ratios were deemed too high, god mode users, etc. I became quite skilled at combating such foes, and such a play style gave an enjoyable and engaging purpose to all of the grinding and suffering endured up to that point. Eventually, destroying the KDs of those who cared so much, brought me untold satisfaction.. perhaps too much. Soon I noticed that my own KD had grown considerably, as I had invested so much (in game) money, time, and effort into becoming skilled at defeating all of those players I deemed villains or degenerates. I began to care if they killed me too much, as I knew how much satisfaction it brought them, which would therefore affect my feelings on the situation. In the end, I slowly became a totally different player, no longer interested in money, just constantly fighting my so-called enemies. Now that it's all over, with all those battles gone in past updates of the game, I wonder if when seeing said battles, all the bystanding players saw were two identical guys measuring their meaningless KDs.

I remember a moment where I decided to destroy some dude's single cargo bike, just to see what happens... 2000$ and 500RP in exchange for blowing up what might have been hundreds of thousands is so appalling... Like, there's nothing to gain in doing it, so why do people do it so much? It's basically a similar scenario to how in an apocalypse, there will be groups of people, who instead of focusing on surviving together, will go out of their way to hunt and kill what remains of their own kind... It's senseless violence, perversion and degradation. But, in a way, the cargo griefers gave the game a solid risk factor and an enemy that you can fully use your rocket cars and war machines against, unlike fragile npcs. In a weird way, griefers made it slightly more fun for the more PvP fueled players.

I've never had an encounter with a cargo griefer; I go about moving packages to and from, during player sessions, and it's always quiet on my end. I'm a PlayStation 4 player, and usually roll around with my friends, and it's mostly quiet, but truth be told, I much more prefer it when it's not. We like griefers, because we really enjoy shooting them in the head far more then we enjoy grinding for cargo. We're very much a combat oriented crew, but we're not K/D ratio people.

I used to exclusively use the PS4 method of lowering the MTU settings to greatly increase the chance I get a public lobby all to myself just so I could do my cargo sells. Sometimes there would be one or two other players but often times they too were just minding their own business. I could go hours and hours and hours in a personal public lobby without anyone joining and staying. But once one person comes and stays, before I know it there’s 10+ people there. I’d have to always make sure I check the lobby before starting a sell mission just in case someone snuck in. I was on pins and needles hoping no one would come in while I’m doing the sell.

Rockstar patched K/D so it no longer changes in freemode. Cargo griefers still exist so long as people sell in freemode lobbies. I was helping a friend yesterday and got griefed lol. Sometimes it's not the griefer's fault. When a player solo sells a full MC business in a 30 player lobby, is it really the Griefer's fault? No, it's the seller's fault for being an idiot. The only time I've ever destroy someone's cargo is when some random invites me to their org, then immediately starts up a sell mission. As if I'm gonna waste my time and help some random for nothing for no reason. Doesn't even politely ask. I find it disrespectful. So I blow up their crap or drive it into the water.

I used to try and get funny kills for a laugh, which annoyed some, most said gg and laughed along with it. Like the mk1 missile bike, deluxo splat, getting their friend mugged while in clothing shop.. etc. But on principle I never have messed with someone’s cargo (ie money) or spawn trap killed someone that clearly can’t defend themselves. If someone kills me its a different story (but there’s still a limit, like 10 or something), cause ppl do need to learn to defend themselves in the game, and there’s loads of counters to attacks. Also one thing you missed is that tryhards now can’t increase their k/d in freemode anymore. So the fact they still act like this without having the kd excuse is sad really. End of day everyone enjoys gaming differently.

I love doing cargo missions for the night-club and then having an oppressor going after my speedo custom, without being able to use the lock-on. 99% of the time, exactly this happens: 1. They are incredibly bad at manual aiming 2. That's why they then fly right behind you at street level to shoot you 3. Say hello to some mines dropping of the speedo 4. watch a burning oppressor fly by your speedo, enjoy a healthy laugh while listening to "we built this city" on Los Santos Rock Radio

When I first started playing, someone farmed me for KD at the Sandy Shores airfield using a Lazer jet. They also need to penalize suicides. This way they won't kill themselves to preserve their precious KD. Just make any death count against you regardless of how it happened.

Griefers serve to earn money for Rockstar, whether they mean to or not. Lose your cargo a few times and you reach for shark cards to upgrade your delivery vehicles and to better equip yourself. That's a really good business model.

As much as we may dislike griefers using op stuff to kill us in our cardboard bike, these were the villains for our heroes and with all lobbies offering a method of earning money without the risk of griefing, our job as heroes starts to fade away. Ofc there is other villains for us to mess with but what I'd argue, the most well known type has become that bit harder to find. Its why I tend to sell in public sessions, just to see them and then swat them.

This reminds me of the good old days before The Criminal Enterprise update when me and my friends used to log in random public sessions and offer PMC-style security services to anyone wanting to sell their cargo and we pretty much created a No-Fly Zone in a 2 mile radius around the delivery vehicles by killing anything with a player name in that area. If anything slipped by and destroyed any product then we would focus on griefing the said troll by any means necessary from getting Orbital Cannon'ed, to sending hit squads from the Facility, sending muggers, sniping him with the Kosatka missiles, spawn camping him, running him over with the Passive Mode glitch etc. Tip: The Half-track is pretty sturdy against Oppressor Mk.2 rockets especially if they don't hit the engine area.
