Nice to see people are still playing BF1. Loved the game. I feel like I've seen disproportionately more BF1 videos, but maybe it is just the algorithm.

it's very likely it is the algorithm but tbf BF1 is the most solid of the last 3 BF games

Halo Infinite - Released in essentially a beta as after 2042's and Cod's flops Microsoft pushed it out the door despite it not being ready. It released with 4 game modes and 4-5 maps. as a result it lost 70% of its playerbase in a week. As of right now, 1 new weapon the Bandit DMR and no vheicles have been added (the forklift doesnt count) since its release.

@@DameOver 1 of the sad things is really just how bad Microsoft are. Altho 343industries have also had their share of issues. Microsoft published with Bungie doing Halo CE - 2 - 3 - 3 ODST and Reach. As they were contracted to make 5 games for them. After since Halo was still a "cashcow" Microsoft panic'd after Bungie left to become terrible to creating Destiny. (with all their shitty cosmetic transactions). 343 was made (named after 343 guilty spark from Halo CE-2-3) and they got to work Making Halo 4, sadly Halo 4's story was ...vanilla at best. the A.I had been rewritten entirely (to be worse) the Art style was butcher'd the sound design was appaulingly awful. and the multiplayer was basically a cut n paste of Call of Duty. and to boot a crap tonne of microtransactions. Something Bungie had never really ventured into (yet) Halo 5 was somehow even worse with a campaign so mish mashed of characters we had no interest in and no focus on the person we did care about. a marketing campaign that basically lied to us saying oh chief is the bad guy now you will play as this guy who will hunt him down. boiling down to, the chief goes AWOL to find cortana and they chase after him hes not a traitor or an enemy of the UNSC nothing to what the trailers would have you believe, they then have 1 of the shittest fight scenes ever. Afterwards Microsoft and 343 were in panic mode because something wasnt clicking. Halo 5's multiplayer was actually really well received its campaign was appauling. and halo 4's story was Lukewarm at best and multiplayer wasnt that popular either due to the aforementioned cod copy. So with Infinite they had 6 years to get it right but sadly this is where Microsoft screwed up. Halo runs on its own unique engine the "Slipspace engine" however microsoft being cheap decided to only hire in 6 months contractors to work on the game, sadly the contractors had never used slipspace (why would they only halo uses it) and it was notoriously difficult to work with and prone to being extremely tempermental. so in 6 months these contractors would spend 3-4 just getting used to the engine then have 2 months of actual "work" then be told to fuck off n leave.so put that all together it was about 60% behind before covid hit. then the "release" trailer dropped and it was badly received as it just looked like it was from 2012. so they delay it a year to fix the issue but bare in mind they are still 55-60% behind at this stage. to fix the graphics issue they have to ship it as it was at that time. the halo infinite reveal trailer said it was open world with different biomes of desert swamp snow. wildlife. all this glorious stuff when it finally got released it was the same biome..no snow,swamp,rain,forests nothing. just the occasionaly waterfall and rocky area. no DLC was added for it. twin that with the barebones multiplayer (of which i played day 1 and in 10 rounds got sent into the same map and same game mode 6 times and the other 2 were the same map with a different game mode. 343i's arrogance trying to say we have halo now and will make it how we want has lost them millions of dollars because they didnt do what makes halo great. they just released a bare bones game and added a shop. Where have i heard that before i wonder?

Modern FPS games have lost their soul in chase of that cash... they are looking for that covid money... people aren't stuck at home and aren't spending cash on micros. They need to stop trying to be Fortnite. Paid FPS games aren't F2P battle royals. Modern FPS games, please look at your past, find your soul and stop trying to be something you are not.

I think that's pretty much the takeaway from what we've seen in recent past. A good product will make more money than getting players to buy every little thing
