The state of responsiveness on the web

First Input Delay (FID) is a great metric to measure input responsiveness during page load. However, as the web is becoming more capable, and users are expecting richer, more interactive interfaces, simply looking at responsiveness during page load doesn't tell the full story. Could you not have picked a better phrase, seeing as "responsive" is generally considered related to a page adapting to different screen sizes. "The state of interaction delay on the web" works, or something similar? Other than that, interesting video! ❤

Actually this is what delights me about this video. When I first came across the term "responsive web" almost exactly 10 years ago, it confused me because responsiveness means what this video describes, NOT "scalable", which is the term that should have been used all this time. Kudos to the team for reclaiming the word to its original UI meaning.

"Responsive Design" is the term for adapting to different screen sizes. Responsiveness is a response to the user's input.

This is what happens when a term is used incorrectly for so long. Sooner or later somebody will use the term correctly and people will think there's something wrong. Like in this case. "ADAPTIVE DESIGN", not "Responsive design". Problem solved.
