The multiplayer has a very special place in my heart, my uncle had cancer a few years ago before he passed cause of it and he loved the last of us, but with the cancer he couldnt play games much really anymore. BUT he absolutely LOVED watching me play the story mode, and when I told him Multiplayer was in it he instantly bought all the dlc for the multiplayer and looked at me in the eye and just said "Play" and for hours and days I did, even when he was on his hospice bed in the living room in and out of it he watched me played and smiled. I am glad its getting attention

I haven’t played Factions in like 5 years. I played for probably 2 straight years and then stopped cold turkey. I plugged in my ps4 for the first time in 2 years yesterday and played factions all day for 2 straight days. Crazy how muscle memory works. Didn’t even take any warm up time. Had 10 downs, 11 executions, and 4 revives in my first game back that included a 1v1 sudden death win to close it out. What a rush!

Factions will always be my favorite multiplayer. I started playing it back in 2014 to get the platinum trophy and I never really even played online multiplayer before that. It was brutally difficult, but I wanted it bad enough that I stuck through the trophies. By the end of it I found myself wanting to play it more and I got hooked. I only just stopped playing it a couple months ago when I sold my PS4. It really is the perfect mix of elements for me though, something they did there is definitely different than all their other multiplayer or anything else I’ve ever played. I’m curious about the stand alone game but I think I’ll be going into it with very flexible expectations and awareness that it will never be what factions was/is.

I played "Factions" on PS3, it was amazing. For me it's still these days the multiplayer with the best mechanics I've ever experienced. It's very sad that it has been overlooked by Naughty Dog. It’s one of my favorite games of all time and it’s insane to say that it’s because of both the single player and multiplayer. Each alone are amazing let alone together. I played the multiplayer last weekend. First time in 5 years. Started a 2nd account so I wouldn’t get put with, like 4 different 999 players. Didn’t help at all. The matchmaking is still horrible! Got my ass whooped several times. But still had fun! I was never really good at it the first time I played, but I would categorize myself, back then, as a try hard. This time around, I was much looser about my MDK rate.... I might throw it on this weekend too.

i only started playing the multiplayer not long ago as a friend mentioned it and i'm lv.6 at the moment and there's player's at lv.999 in the match and i hear lot's of swearing and they oftern send you an inbox moaning about something, if you interfere if they are doing an execution they are likely to kick you from the game lol i just stay back now as they take it very seriously. but there are some nice player's that will revive you and send invites or friend requests so that's nice to know.

Factions was my second online multiplayer I played on the PS4, it was in a bundle and I didn’t hear about Last Of Us until then. Needless to say, it was peak as all hell. Honestly the only bad thing of factions is the players. Sometimes I get teamates that have mics and we communicate super well and even if we're not the best we win most of the time because the other team simply does not communicate. Only that's a rare occurence and most of the time all of my teamates go running around solo and we all get killed one by one.

When factions 2 releases, i really do think an extraction mode like tarkov or dmz would be really good for it. They are YOUR survivors, and it would be so visceral and personal watching your people getting killed, the ones that you built up.

Factions 2.0 couldve been an interesting battle royale with infected as well as players being a danger like how fortnite has npcs that are hostile to anyone and you can play that to your advantage. The last of us world is just perfect for a survival type competitive game since the ingredients already baked in. Could even throw in the og modes in too on smaller scale maps. I think 16 players on large maps and classic 8 on small ones is more than doable in 2023

NOTHING made my palms sweatier than TLOU Factions. To this day it is the only multiplayer game that I've really sunk my teeth into. The pace made every death and every kill matter. Every decision was important. I never had the greatest aim, but I could win with unpredictability. Patience and aggression. Pure adrenaline.

Played that so much when I was young, had so much fun, variety and so on. Probably on when not the greatest MP Game I ever played with also a awesome SP. Awesome game. Sad I dont have the platform to play it anymore, hoping the MP comes with PC version. But i doubt it sadly.

No it won’t come with the pc port but I bet the new standalone does come to pc

I fell in love with Factions on the PS3 back when it was released and it’s really sad to see how the PC Version doesn’t get access to Factions :,( As I don’t have any console anymore :((
