Montgomery County Council Vice President Kate Stewart will join CCI Health Services in a roundtable discussion about the current state of health care access for transgender individuals in the region. Montgomery County Office of Legislative Oversight’s recent report on transgender health care in the county confirms significant disparities in access to health care for the transgender community, with 41 percent indicating they have difficulty finding care. Councilmember Stewart and CCI will focus on how public and private organizations can come together to find solutions to reduce barriers to care and create health equity for transgender individuals.
