Also, as i posted above, at 0:36, Wrigley Field getting lights was unheard-of when this song was new. It was recorded in 1981, and Wrigley Field has long since had night games.

I'm guessing this was recorded before 1988. I know the studio version came out in '81. At 0:36, he sang "When the lights go on at Wrigley Field..." That finally happened on August 8, 1988 (8-8-88 in numerical form). Later versions said something about a DOME being put on Wrigley Field, acknowledging the aforementioned event.
