I was coming down the stairs at work yesterday and heard this song playing at the cafe; the beautiful harmonies stopped me in my tracks. I asked the barista who the artists were, and the name of the song. She said to me, "It's The Staves, and the song is titled I Try." This song will now be with me always, and I look forward to exploring more of their music.

Woke up whistling some song I didn't know the name of. It stayed in my head all morning. I knew I had to figure it out. Then I realized it was something I had heard months before by the Staves, yet I still didn't know the name of the song. I spent some time searching until I found it. The song turned out to be The Motherlode. The live Austin version is unbelievable and apparently unforgettable. Just strange how that worked. Bellissima.
