We understand your frustration - but we're still a small independent group, and we rely on these short 30 second adverts to be able to continue bringing you great sessions on a regular basis. Mahogany x

Counting the winters, numb too cold Searching the valley for secrets untold The mountains are children, to someone so old A king without kingdom or throne Digging the mud and the stone All men have left here But you have remained At the banks of the river, forever the same Though no water flows here, the memory stays As long as it stays you are here Heart broken year after year People running away running like strangers day after day Breathe in you're not alone Golden river running from her home

Couldn't agree more! These harmonies strike so many chords (literally and figuratively) at once. They take the song to a deeper, more intriguing place.

The sun was an altar, before reaching out And raised up the dagger, that hung from his belt He cursed his disillusion and the sadness he felt Weeping at what he'd become, just a fool in the gold of the sun People running away, running like strangers day after day Breathe in, you're not alone Golden river running from her home

I get so frustrated every time I turn on the radio and hear what type of music gets played the most. I often feel that im alone in thinking that Music is supposed to have so much more artistry and finesse than what is mostly popular right now. I feel that a lot of the mainstream stuff is a whole lot of noise and repetitive and mundane lyrics. But, I find artists like these and others from the MS and realize that those great artists are still here and playing from their souls.

I would guess some kind of a Canon DSLR. Maybe 7D or equivalent. And a lens with a small aperture. Maybe the 28mm 1.8 or 35mm 1.4. But just guessing. ;) So what is it, Mahogany? :)

I'm a huge fan of both bands. I saw M&S live at Memphis in May 2 years ago, and I saw the Staves when they were on tour with Bon Iver. I'm currently getting my masters degree in vocal music education... It's basically my job to pick out and dissect music/voices. I'm here to tell you that you are wrong... Your comment is clearing just ignorant. You have your own opinion that the Staves are better, and that's fine, but don't bash Mumford and Sons when they are clearly better music/vocal wise.
