Before they use plastic machines, optometrists / ophtalmologists used testing frames and individual lenses, the perfect ASMR items. Who remember these ? Of course the ones I've known as a child were not made of metal, nor were they in a wooden box, but still, I miss them so much ! Well, here I tried to bring back the tingles I felt back then... Does anyone else try to read the text at the very bottom edge of those eye charts? This was a well put together video. The metal pieces clicking into place was super tingley. I loved all the attention to using different kinds of lenses. Did you research what that dark lens was for? This was a nice surprise to wake up to. So glad you were able to upload in time.😁 oh and nice touch with the train sounds 👌

When I worked as an optometrist technician, we had an amazing set of metal handled, glass slides, it came in a wooden box and everything! To use them, we’d put the slides into one of our pre-test machines to help get an idea of our patients range of vision correction to better assist the doctor with setting up for the full exam. I loved working with eyes, it was so rewarding and fun, so thank you for this role play! It’s flawless and so enjoyable for me! ❤️❤️❤️

@@Annafilmz, it certainly did for me. I think I got spoiled, lol. I remember watching simple glass tapping videos recorded with a phone and getting tingles like crazy. Now only very intense sounds on a very sensitive mic are capable of that. But this kind of videos don't relax me at all. Today I watch ASMR for the pleasant unintentional-like sounds and aesthetics. The genuine antiques and replica props in this video are astounding. I would love a 1-hour version of just the lens testing/actual eye exam section with TONS of lens noises. Running your fingers along the lens’ handle-things (while you were doing the inaudible whispering section) is one of the most incredible noises I’ve ever heard. 11/10 best eye exam video on KZbin

My favourite part of this entire video is determining the prescription. "Better or worse?" is now something I can hear and just immediately feel relaxed. It's a good thing I wasn't actually there. Every time she asked me "is it better or worse?" I'd just reply with "you're so much better...oh you mean my eyes...uhhhhhh...I don't know...I can't really focus them even without lenses in the glasses..." I'd be a pain in the ass customer. So I'm glad that didn't happen.
