I just saw Steel Woods LIVE in Tucson, AZ. WOW. I have no words. The quality of this band live is incomprehensible. Wes Bayliss' voice is something from another era. Thank you guys for the BEST 2 hours of my life. The guitar riffs on both lead and rhythm are on point. I will chase these guys all over the country........SOUL isn't even the right word. I just found my COCAINE.

The soul in this version is insanely palpable. I like this track to begin with, have enjoyed 2 or 3 covers, and this version right here? It is totally LIVE, in every possible sense of the word. You can feel the raw, uninhibited emotion pour through the vocals; and that Dobro is haunting in the very best of ways. Sometimes in music, as in life, less can truly be more. No over the top drum fills, no crazy guitar rips, no frenetic bass riffs; just a solid 4/4 delta rhythm and a whole metric fuckton of soul.
