I dont know what happened but for some reason the majority of people have forgotten that Jones was drafted as a LT last year also yes Fautanu was a LT but it was for a Lefty QB (M.Penix)

Jones played extremely well at RT last year. My problem isn't with him moving to LT, but why move him to LT when your rookie has only played LT. There is much more with O-Linemen switching sides than which hand the QB throws with. Tristan Wirfs explained as much last season.

@@BroshmoBroderick has said his natural position is on the left and he’s more comfortable there then at right tackle. RT isn’t what he was drafted for. His potential is higher at RT.

If we did it with Duck Hodges, Mason Rudolph, Kenny Pickett, Matt Canada as the OC, and a terrible OL, I think we'll be fine with Russ/Fields, Arthur Smith, and an actual good OL. Only thing to worry about is WR. Barring injuries of course.

Disagree heavily on your offensive line grades. I can’t see D+ pass block grade with Daniels being a top pass protecting guard and seumalo being a good vet guard. Tackles will both be decent (of course they’ll have their moments they are both young) and Frazier will be better than you expect (JMS had terrible guards around him, frazier has good guards). Overall a top 10 unit by the end of the year is my expectation

Jokes aside lol I will instead respectfully watch the whole video, appreciate the hard work, and give my honest opinion. You made a lot of genuinely good points that are hard to reject at face value. Always love the work you put in. But I can say confidently that they're a better/same team at every position except WR. Don't overlook the progression of Calvin Austin tho. He's had a great offseason so far. But it's definitely a lackluster group overall. The oline (even with rookies and switches), qb and coordinator changes are enough to give me great hope. I really like a 10-7 year with a chance at 11-6 depending on health and divisional play. And I've put some money on it like I did last year. But I'll never say there ain't a chance at things goin haywire. And I respect the floor you mentioned. It's gonna be tough especially the latter stretch. Also the new punter is such an underrated addition. The steelers were losing the field position battle CONSTANTLY due to bad offense + bad punting. That should really impact games. Obviously not the BIGGEST impact but should be a noticeable one. Cheers bro appreciate the video

This is a "Bold Hot Take." It makes sense with the schedule. Also Steelers did just extend Tomlinson to a 3-year extension. If a losing season were to happen, it should be now. They have two starting QB's. When you have two Starting QB's, you actually have none.

Fields may have started in Chicago, but he was most definitely brought in to back up/learn from Russ, who is absolutely being treated as the starter/leader of the team already this early on.

Kinda. I wouldn't bet against Tomlin, but since I do these deep dive videos based on draft order it means I gotta settle on a concrete prediction. Doesn't mean I love all the predictions. Next year I might just do a floor and ceiling prediction with a win total over and under.

@@Broshmo your only basis for us to lose 10 games was qb play and a tough schedule. Qb play is much better than what we had with Pickett and trubisky and we’ve improved our roster since last year. I think we can achieve 6-7 wins the first half of the season with the only questionable games being the cowboys, colts and jets. The second half is much less forgiving however I still believe we can split with the division (5-1 last year) and win the game vs the commanders. I would be very shocked if we had below 10 wins this year as we realistically should get 11 I’m not dumb enough to be a tomlin defender until we win a playoff game, I just know how we perform in the regular season

@@Broshmo I don’t think we’ll have a dynamic offense however we have a ton of rotational pieces that can share the wr2 duties. I think this allows Pickens to take a step up from last year as a route runner and I trust Roman Wilson to be a decent year 1 slot. Freiermuth was very quiet last year but still has extremely reliable hands and solid feel for the defense. As much as I hate PFF they ranked us as the 9th best o-line in the league.. that’s gotta show something. Since we have two brand new rookies it will most definitely be a wait and see situation however I’m confident the line will become progressively stronger as the year goes by

James Daniels is a fine pass protector, but certainly not a top one. The Frazier argument is a good one though.
