The products you use are all amazing for the most part, but i believe you retain length mainly because of your techniques and practices. You are so gentle with your hair and starting off with detangling before drenching your hair with wait is key. It's best to get some shed hair out before getting in the shower. It reduces further detangling and stress. Some people go straight to the comb or brush and start ripping out so much hair and wonder why their hair is so thin.
@roothie__2 жыл бұрын
You make a really good point. Technique is just as important!

You really telling the truth we will grab the comb or brush first and start combing her hair brushing her hair before we start washing our hair I really liked what she done she put on the detangler first and then start washing her hair she just gave me something really new to start doing and a lot of women did that I don't have detangler I learned that from a friend that I seen using detangler on the kids hair now I want to really start using that I never used that before and my hair is really thin up in the middle but it's thick in the back so I never thought about using that and I really appreciate watching these videos to learn how to grow my hair back

Thank you for sharing. You are detangling your hair dry is important. This is something that people need to know. Some wet the hair and then detangle which cause more breakage. Water breaks the bond in the hair shaft which makes it weak. Thanks for showing this.
@HereDiianas2 жыл бұрын
Detangling kinky/coily hair when it's dry but has been strecthed by an hairstyle or straighten is not the same as detangling dry kinky/coily hair which has not been strech, which is 90% shrunken or in a wash&go style. In those last scenarios detangling hair dry would be a hot mess and detangling hair under running water gently and in section is the way to go for many and does not cause more breakage which is actually what Roothie also did when she deep conditioned.
@gensai932 жыл бұрын
Not true. It shouldn't be too wet or too dry, it should be damp. If it's completely dry, your hair is not going to be flexible and will break more easily. She did use a liquid detangling product, so her hair wasn't really dry just slightly damp.

I found the Melanin Shampoo to be very stripping for my hair. I didn't like the way my hair felt afterwards and it didn't moisturize my hair. I only use it for a detox which is maybe once every other month. As far as elasticity it just made my hair feel dead and like straw. My hair felt very rough afterwards. I guess it's because my hair is low porosity. I know I'm in the minority here because most people love it. I use something that a little more gentle on my hair which is the Pantene Gold Series Shampoo.

Why for sections?
@lola85582 ай бұрын
Do you mean why she sections her hair into 4 when she’s detangling/ washing/ conditioning etc? I think it’s so she can work on each section thoroughly making sure she’s properly cleansed/ detangled each section and, therefore, her entire head. My hair isn’t anywhere near as long or thick as hers, but I find splitting my hair into 4 sections has been incredibly useful for me as I’ve started learning to care for my hair. That being said, when I go to the salon they don’t always section my hair and still get amazing results, so I guess it’s about what’s more useful for you. I know it’s late but I hope this helps!
