@tylersims693711 ай бұрын
@@kdchmlnwell said. This was kinda their big/bigger break, coz tv audience is a million times more people watching any gig..ever. Like Elvis's Hawaii show. There mightve been XXthousands there watching, but there were XXmillions of people watching it on tv. So this would've brought these fellas all sorts of people who wouldn't have heard of them. So yea, it was super important. Which makes it so if/when you fuck it up, it became super important not to(fuck up). It's not the Roses's fault but it seems like it embarrassed Ian and angered him enough. So, you've got unprofessionalism from tv crew(and or shitty gear to present the show's fuckedup production about and around the program, technical difficulties with no backup power, tension(both sexual and asexual) along with contempt between Ian and her...nerves on edge, probably a fair bit of coke and drinks to balance each other out, the cost of BBC promotion and the effect it almost always has on a band and it's ego, all ends up here, together as a wacky recipe for laughs and fun for the whole family!

@matthewjohnson2185 Жыл бұрын
As a fan, I hate to say this, but Ian Brown singing out of tune was always the thing that let down an otherwise perfect band. In other ways he's great; the sound of his voice, the swagger, the aggression, but listening to them live, about 25% of my attention is distracted towards willing him to keep the vocals in tune, which he never does. The fact that everyone else in the band is so spot-on just highlights it even more.
@KyTaundry Жыл бұрын
@@matthewjohnson2185it's a shame, but then when you listen to them on record he sounds like a nightingale. I often wondered if it was just nerves or that he couldn't hear his vocals come through the monitor. Being in a band myself it is hard when the stage volume is so loud, to keep your voice in key, you often have to just wing it by memory of how each note feels to sing 😂. Back then there was only so much you could do when recording to tape, so he must've sung well in the studio.

They were professionals, they worked hard and with all their hearts on the music, then it all get's cocked up by the BBC or something.
