A wonderful story! That he was deceived and left homeless is terrible. Our soldiers should never be left like that. We are here in peace thanks to them. Lest we forget.😊

The story was so deep and wonderful. I just wish they could treat Veterans eternal today. I can’t even tell you how many are displaced and on the street here in 2024 after serving our Country.

It’s always better to give than receive.. There are a lot of good, generous and kind people in the world, but unfortunately, many heartlessness as well. I enjoyed this story ❤

We come to this world alone; we go alone; yet, while, however temporarily on Earth, we are gregarious and desperately need not be alone, but to spend our time with loved ones and others who are part of our lives because they CARE!

So many of our veterans are cast away by a society that has forgotten honor .!!! Honor for veterans, the elderly, parents, grandparents, extended family, etc. . . .!!!😥😢😭 In my youth in the 70's I knew an old veteran who lived up in the woods. At the age of 78years a young man tried to rob him of his wounded disabled veteran check!! The 20year+year old pointed a shotgun at the old guy and demanded he give him his check money. George, using his military training took the shotgun away from the young man and as he ran away the vet shot the would be robber in the butt with the buckshot !!! The kid was arrested when he sought medical attention the next day🤓! George was a tough and grizzled veteran who will forever hold a place in my heart.🌝🤗😁😎 He was my friend and he is missed to this day and I am now 65+ years old so that was50 year ago.🤗

Loved this story, reminded me of my loving grandpa who raised me after my mom left to be with my stepfather in a far away place. I joined my mother after several years of separation. It brought tears to my eyes ! I’m now a senior citizen & often think how loving my grandpa was. My granddaughter’s middle name was his first name. Thank ful that she’s also got part of my grandpa. 👍❤️🙏🫶👌
