5:43 Most people don't know "Turbo Twin" from "Twin Turbo". Especially when it comes to the DAF trucks that took part in the Dakar race. Glad someone finally noticed this. Greetings.

Ah yes 88 paris dakar Where group B rally cars was suspected to be the fastest thing in the race Then jan de rooy said no I hope to see sisu enter some racing trucks with of course a finnish racing driver
@JaPsGraph3 жыл бұрын
Very good point there, the cars that came from Group B to Dakar were even faster, probably using the hill climb setups on their engine tune-ups.

The DAF TURBOTWIN X1 had 2440 horsepower and 7k ft-lbs of torque The reasons many articles get confused about it The turbotwin 2 had 1220 horsepower total But the turbotwin X1 had 1220 horsepower per engine
@JaPsGraph3 жыл бұрын
Like you said, the information is based on the articles I can find online, the stories and data are pretty old so its very possible that things get mixed up. Thank you for your feedback and clarification, it is very appreciated.

And even more exciting news, the double cab will go with the Dakar classic this year, it is fully restored. Also a service truck for the Turbotwin 2 and Turbotwin x1 is going to be there i think

This is very cool. Thank you very much for clarifying it, I hope that other viewers see it as well. Where did you learn about this if you dont mind me asking?
@zounds0102 жыл бұрын
that's incorrect. The X1 and X2 both had about 1220 hp total. They used the same engines.
@zounds0102 жыл бұрын
@@mogguhjow582 The strongest production DAF engine was the 11.6 litre single-turbo/intercooler, which had 330 hp (as used in the DAF 3300). The X1 and X2 had 3 turbos per engine in a two-stage setup. From the intake the air goes to 1 turbocharger, then the intake pipe gets split into 2, then you have 2 turbochargers that each feed 3 cylinders.

Hino is japanese bro! Nice Job! But i'd like to make a critic on your video, as a guy who loves this kind of motorsport documentary type videos, i'd think if u extend the time a little more, you can have more audience :D Iam waiting for the next videos to come out, i've just seen all of the others in 1 go :D
@JaPsGraph3 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much for the feedback. After looking back I see that you are right, Himo is Japanese. My mistake. Regarding the length of the videos, there are people like you and me who would watch motorsport documentaries for hours, but sadly most viewers aren't like that, and I would not be able to keep their attention for so long, that is why I split them up into different segments, to make multiple parts of the videos. :) I should be coming out with more videos soon, sadly I am currently in recovery from an accident, and I am unable to edit my footage, if any other viewers are reading this, dont think I abandoned my content, because there's still much more to come. Once again I appreciate any and all feedback.

Sonacom took 1980s 1st, 3rd and fourth places, outstanding sleeper achievement that the west kept in dark considering they only participated with 3 trucks and you usually do not hear about them after that because it was just a showcase of the company capabilities and algeria always keeps good thingies for it's people rather exporting them, this company's trucks are invested in public services, transportation, sanitation...ect still in production till this day and they are hyper hyper reliable yet super easy to fix, i got in an old sonacom bus the other day (maybe from the 70s or earlier) and it ran perfectly and suspension was😮😮😮😮😮, the only downside to this brand is the ugliness which you'll like over time😂😂😂😂)

The 2 turbutwins where developed by DAF, not the Rooi. he drove them.. Athe that time, it was factory team until the crash of the X2. after that DAF withdrew from it. That is talso the reason de Tooi quit that time.. the info in the video is not quite ritght

If you want t make video's, please make shure your information is correct. You are giving faulty information and forgetting important things about the turbotwin crash . This results in a story that is not even close to what actually happened.

I appreciate the feedback. Sadly all the information that I talk about is quite limited. It is gathered from various sources which evidently can not always be trusted. Those articles are also listed in the video description, check them out if you please. Would you like to tell me more about what you know? I would love to hear it. I am sure that other viewers would also appreciate it. :)
