“The Storm is Upon Us” A truly inspirational and powerful speech by Jim Caviezel

This speech, which someone sent me, touched me deeply for 2 main reasons; The content and the way it was delivered. Jim Caviezel is a stunning actor but he can deliver a powerful speech too, which is not always guaranteed.
Talking into his film where he depicted Jesus and using that as a base for this explosion of words left me with goosebumps.
I am humbled by the amount of people who have already watched this with me and appreciate all the comments as well.

when I saw the Movie of the Passion ,,, I couldn't stop crying ,, even though I tried to muffle my own cries ,, but I was getting into a heave ,,, I felt so out of it ,,, I felt all the sufferings that poor Jesus was going through ,, I couldn't stand it ,,, I 'm surprised I didn't pass out from the extreme stress I was going through just sitting there in the theater watching this horrendous sufferings of Jesus Passion ,,, I never forgot that movie , even to this day ,, and I don't want to watch it again because I remember everything ,, and this was a few years ago ,,, How can we forget that movie ,,, I was never the same again ,, even though I was a practicing Catholic at that time ,,, Lord have mercy on us ,, forgive us Father , we know not what we do ,,, save us from ourselves ,, we are so blind and unfeeling ,, Come Lord Jesus into our hearts and make us one with you ,,, and the Holy Father ,,, send us the Holy Spirit , and renew the face of the earth and our hearts ,,, ( by the way , my husband was sitting next to me ,, and I don't think that movie moved him, Much , )))

What Jim said about becoming an actor really hit me. When I was very young I wanted to be an actor. I didn’t know what I was getting into I just knew I liked movies. I was considering agencies and acting classes but for some reason never fully committed. I knew in my mind I was too young I was about 10 years old. I would’ve probably had to move away from my friends and family and I didn’t want that. I know I wouldn’t be the person I am today which I am proud of myself for but I still look back and wonder if I should’ve done it. I don’t know what plan God has for me but I just hope He guides me to what He needs me to be.

Passion of Christ is the only movie I have ever felt physically ill in. I was a very lukewarm Christian at the time and not born again. I was shocked at my reaction at the time which was obviously spiritual more than physical. Now I understand, like Jim, that in 2023 playtime is over and the lukewarm will be swallowed up.

When the Passion of the Christ came into the movie theater I was in an area of my life where I was being attacked by the enemy on all sides: job discrimination/termination, unfortunately domestic violence, which I believe caused my cancer, loss of income, pending loss of disability income, and homelessness. I had just gone through my second trial of endurance with cancer and found that the real test was of trying to survive a financial comeback after having been fired by my employer. From 2001-2004, I lived on a street called Moses Lane but couldnt make the connection that God wanted me to make my own Exodus from my surroundings. Before the movies release I had seen an interview on ABC news with Mel Gibson & Jim Caviziel about the movie and my spirit was renewed. Somehow God was telling me to not lose hope.

Indeed this is a very powerful speech. Life is not easy, it is difficult beyond measure to live in a world full of conflicting views, many anti God and driven by temptations and ignorance. God's Word through the Holy Bible is the only way. We must speak our truths with equal measures of wisdom, gentleness, love and compassion. We should always fight the good fight, not conform to things against God's Will, but do this bearing in mind that love is the reason, and the second most important Commandment, to love each other. God is our Judge, we are His ambassadors on earth; we strive to want to make a difference in His name. It takes courage to do so, and you will always be open to scrutiny, conspiracy theories, and judgement by others for your beliefs, others will respect you and be inspired by you. Our God is the Great Judge, the one that matters, the one that counts for everything. You will feel the fire and the passion within, from Him and it fires you onwards, as it did the great Apostles. Jim, if your calling truly comes from God, and I'm inclined to believe that it does, then may God give you the strength to carry on your great work; you are a truly talented speech maker, full of passion and power to move people. It can be a hard journey, but the joy of knowing that God is with us cannot be understood by non believers, as they are not being driven by the Holy Spirit on life's journey.
