I'm happy you got your dream bike! The guy who sold it to you was a saint! 😊 My story is quite similar, except that I didn't find such an amazing deal. I also started during Covid, and was torn between the MT-07 and the XSR 700. I went for the MT-07 cause it's cheaper and I found a dealer that actually had one. 😊 Used ones at that time were not much cheaper, or even more expensive than a brand new one. Go figure! I love the MT-07! ❤

XSR and MT07 are basically same bikes... they look different but engine, frame, components. XSR is MT07 retro/scrambler style. It's much closer than you might think on first look.
@ayamotoadventures6 ай бұрын
@@theslowdeath MT 07 is more comfortable and has different seating position. XSR is more expensive because the retro look and customization options.

The sense of freedom on a bike really is unmatched. It's so odd. I had a car for 5 years before I got a motorcycle. Yet for some reason it was the bike that gave me that feeling of "freedom". The car just feels like a totally utilitarian a->b machine. The bike feels like just being on the bike is the main event, and the destination is a nice side effect of riding.

Same here mate. I was never looking forward to any trip or any ride with my car as I did with my motorcycle. Especially in the summer when you go on a night ride trough the city or next to the coast. Feels amazing every time :)

Great story, and that enthusiasm when you know that tomorrow you will have your motorcycle and you can wait for it 🤩. My first motorcycle was a Honda CB125R, which I rode for 2 years and traveled over 40,000 km 😁. Before getting a full motorcycle driving license, I fell in love with the Honda VFR800 from the very first moment, which I have been riding since last year ❤️😍. After passing the exam, the next day I went to Honda for a test ride of the CB650R, for which I signed a purchase agreement the next day😂.

Thanks for sharing! CB650R is amazing bike. Unfortunalty, they were very hard to get while i was looking for my bike. I would love to try it out one day :)

Good story, you convinced me to get the same bike and im thinking to keep it aswell it has a very good economical ratio vs power, i dont need more. This bike is a blast to ride

Yeah, it is an excellent bike and CP2 engines are one of the most reliable on the market. I will do a full review of the bike soon.

My story is very similar to yours. Rode MT07 and XSR700s when taking my license. Fell in love and consumed every youtube video about it at the time. Shortly after getting my license a good deal on a 2017 XSR in Tech Black with a full Akrapovič system and only around 3000 KMs on it popped up at a local dealer and I immediately test rode it and bought it that same day. Been making it my own and enjoying the hell out of it ever since. Must have stumbled upon your Instagram page in that process and you've been a great inspiration, so thank you! Keep doing what you're doing and ride safe!

Thank you for your kind words! I am just a regular XSR owner like you. That is amazing. I am happy that you got a good deal on your bike :)

These kind of stories make you appreciate riding much more than going to the shop and just buying a bike. I have similar storie for buying my v strom. Was looking for a year for a bike and eve ride it withou a licence for some time. Never gonna sell it.
@ayamotoadventures6 ай бұрын
That is true. I can't even think about selling my first bike.

I feel like I had the same reaction when I saw the XSR for the first time. Seeing all the custom builds people did, and seeing yours. Makes me want to do so much to it!

I started this year, from total zero... my current bike is CB 125R but I'm actually looking for XSR700 since I got my full motorcycle license.

Nice. Try it out first to see if it suits you and if you have the chance, try out a few different bikes that interest you before you buy.

Is the seat of the xsr 125 same as xsr 155 which was kinda stiff when I sat on it 3 years ago?
