I had a German lecturer at the university... teaching English. He was a linguist and native speakers, professors at the uni, would often need a dictionary to look up the word the German guy used. And that guy was also a metal fan - growing up in Germany in the 1980s. He said that when he first heard Helloween he thought they were an American band, a notion cemented by hearing Kiske talking the first time. So he was rather shocked when he learned Helloween were from Hamburg and Kiske was German :)

Kiske the great is now fully open his heart, honest to himself (he had been honest to him self all the time though) without making any wall against people. I agree with him, it was necessary.

He always wore his heart on his sleeve - one of the reasons I supported him throught his solo career. Bought albums (including Supared), bought Kiske twice (iTunes and CD), contributed to his crowdsourcing efforts. He deserved it.

Greetings from the USSR (Minsk, Belarus), from such a "distant" 1985, when they first heard the incomparable "Helloween" with his cool "heavy metal". The 1987 album raised the whole union to the ears !!! on the street when we gathered in companies and at home, of course. Thank you guys for everything !! 👍 🤗 🇩🇪 USSR

Michael Kiske has always been a great songwriter!! I love all his songs on Keeper Of The Seven Keys Part 1 and Part 2, Pink Bubbles Go Ape, and Chameleon alot. Even B side songs like Savage is a great song. Now that he is back with Helloween, I really hope that he is involved in the songwriting process because he has proven that he can write great songs. Helloween has many great songwriters now and I am really looking forward to the new album big time!!!! I am still so happy that both Michael Kiske and Kai Hansen are back in Helloween!!!!

I hated it big time when I first listened to it back in 1996. I was 18 years old at that time and the only two songs that I did like was Kids Of The Century and The Chance. I hated it at the time because I wanted another Keeper Of The Seven Keys album. I gave the album another chance around 2006 ten years later , and I loved the majority of it. Songs like Mankind, Someone's Crying, Back On The Streets, Number One, Kids Of The Century, The Chance, and Goin Home are some of my favorite songs on Pink Bubbles Go Ape album. I also really hated Roland Grapow back then, because at that time I did not think he was a worthy replacement for Kai Hansen at all. It did not take me long to realize that Roland was indeed a good replacement for Kai Hansen. He has written some amazing songs for Helloween. Some great songs like Mankind, The Chance, Someone's Crying, The Time Of The Oath, The Dark Ride, and Still We Go . I also love his band Masterplan alot. Masterplan's self titled debut album is a MASTERPIECE in my opinion.

I'm glad Michael is in good terms with his past and the rest of the band now! I think their success with the Keeper albums came with bad timing. Shortly after Part 2, Kai Hansen left, they got into a nasty legal fight with Noise Records and then Grunge music exploded, which greatly reduced interest in metal music. When all that stuff happens at the same time, even little musical/personality differences between members can turn ugly real quick. I remember I went to one of Avantasia's 2010 shows, when Michael just went out of retirement, the joy and chemistry they projected to the audience was unbelievable (specially between Kiske and Hansen), you could clearly see (and then the same with Unisonic) he was truly enjoying heavy music and being on a stage again. Now about his songs: he should get the band to play You Always Walk Alone and We Got The Right live!!!
