NICE! My Swatch Irony watch with snoopy bands from Army ROTC in college is my prized possession. Lots of super early work outs, getting yelled at, stress, countless injuries, good times, bad times, and everything in between. That’s why it almost feels like an old friend. Cheers!

Great story. This is what watches are truly about. Thank you for sharing. Also great testament to the timex that it can handle such force when jumping out of the plane and keep ticking, shows mechanical watches are still very capable in the modern day. Keep up the great content 👏
@WristUnwoundАй бұрын
Thank you so much, comments like yours keep me going! And both Timex and mechanical watches are here to stay, even in a world of apple watches and Rolexes

@WristUnwound no, thank you! You produce great content and show that watches can be meaningful, of high quality, and interesting no matter the price point. Also, my respect for you has gone up massively, serving your country and being an absolute badass in the process. I may not be American, but as a proud Brit myself, I see the USA as a sister country. Take care and much success to you on youtube and life in general.

Anytime I think I'm a bad a$$ my kids humble me real quick, most recently was my daughter telling a complete stranger that my feet stink🤣 Also as our English speaking brothers across the pound we will always have a connection, I've worked a lot with soldiers from the UK and they are our closest allies 364 days out of the year, except on the 4th of July and then we are friends with the french again

Thanks for watching and looking forward to making more very soon! Do you have any watches that you feel are a good luck charm?
@mccauleyjohnny4992Ай бұрын
Unfortunately, no good luck charms. Just storys of alot of vintage finds, good deals, trades and making friends through this hobby we call watch collecting.

The friends is one of my favorite parts. When I was getting into collecting I joined a Timex Fan page and it made me go from like to love Are you a part of any virtual or in person watch communities?
@mccauleyjohnny4992Ай бұрын
I'm in a watch group that meets up once a month. Alot of dealer, flippers and a few real collectors are there. They bring some heavy hitters and rare pieces.
@WristUnwound23 күн бұрын
I hope to join a group soon. There are a few near me in Georgia but its hard to find time between kids and work. Whats the coolest watches you've seen at the meet ups?
