This is crazy. I am pretty sure I sold you that SP-303. This was at the Davis Co-op behind I-House. Madlib influenced me to seek out this awesome sound as well, which led me to the SP-303. I definitely knew the value of this puppy, but I was super broke college kid back then. I bought another one soon after.

Tom Leaverland yes, apparently disco ulysses is based on Jack’s song (credited as Vulfmon) named “My First Beat.” You can access the song in bandcamp.com in his album Interstitials I. It’s so funky.

im messing with some bounces on my android phone, and just as an idea, it'd be inspirational and helpful to have a mobile version of this vulf compressor. even stripped down, just enough to run some mixes or even found sounds through, to preemptively strike the proverbial iron. i would totally pay for that. im so happy for these guys. i am happy about their existence as well. seeing vulfs trajectory from the beginnings has strengthened my own resolve and im very grateful for them. congratulations on creating a catalystic tool. cheers :]

This compressor definitely has it's own unique sound and character, but it doesn't sound like the 303 vinyl sim. Hats off to the creator of the algorithm though, !! I will use these more often and test them out now since hearing the back end story of this compressor plugin.

Goodhertz just did a Lossy pedal with Chase Bliss. So maybe a Vulf comp pedal could happen too. But the fact you can buy a used 404 for probably cheaper than the pedal would be and have way more functionality means you should probably do that

I'm sure you've figured it out by now, but anyone reading this there's a preset called OG 303 VS. It works best on the master bus. But you will probably want to lower the Wow setting because 15% is pretty damn drifty.
