The Story of Absolver Explained

Considering there is not a 100% confirmed story as of yet, I thought I could give my take on the story.
Credit where credit is due, I used some of the information located in the following reddit to form my own theory, but the overall connection is all mine. Thank your Reddit folks!

Ye really hard when its a singular purchase game, and many people stopped playing. They are making sifu tho so maybe theyll place more funds in absolver after it releases.

Yes, I love this game. There's a decent sized community based around Combat Trials but I wish it were possible for more than 3 people to be in an area at a time, that way maybe more people would stay in the open world.

@@unknownbystander7812 sifu came out, was a blast, and did good. Sloclap announced that they were already on to their new project.... Which might be absolver 2. JUST IMAGINE A NEW AND IMPROVED COMBAT WITH THEIR EXPERIENCE FROM SIFU, ALONG WITH ABSOLVER'S SETTING AND DECK BUILDING. I know it might not be absolver 2, but I'm seriously hoping.

@@justyouraveragehumanbeing7411 was the same thing we all thought when they announced their new game (which came to be sifu)... In all honesty, i want to believe what you say... it's such a huge lore behind absolver, one you cant just make over night. There are so many pictures of places you cant even get to, so many lore posts on the site and what not... Its a shame they just left it all behind to go work on sifu, and honestly, i could be wrong but storywise sifu is lacking... At least when compared to the lore and potential absolver had... Maybe, just maybe, i can get my hopes high for Towerpoint (cause absolver 2 does not sound that good). Think about it: The story would start justhow absolver did, obviously with revamped combat and reimagined graphics. But after you beat Risryn the new story starts. You would have more maps to explore, maps which description already exist within the absolver site. You would have a story quest akin to a souls-like. And in the end you would storm Towerpoint in a downfall style dungeon with Risryn fighting by your side till you take down the Guide that gave you the mask in the first game (and probably the entity that enchanted it).

In my opinion the problem is going to be how little Absolvers will be left by the time the guide's call arrives. IMHO they should have held the game in development for longer to give a more complete experience, but I do not know the circumstances the developer was under. I still think this was a great game if we consider it was coming from an Indie Developer. Thank you for your comment

I'd like to think once you stop playing the game or you delete your character, your Prospect, or Absolver goes mad and becomes another opponent for newer Prospects.

three is something else you missed in this video though it's easy to miss: the item descriptions have a bit of a "story behind the story" of the area an the nation/world at hand for each different item you pick up and either salvage (well after this latest update) or dye and keep and the game sort of tells the story of the world while staying behind the scenes of the game

The game also has a lot of biblical references ie: tower of adal = tower of babel Elohim mask = Elohim is the name of god our heavenly father Owl mask = upon reading the description it is no coincidence that it refers to moloc/ molok the pagan owl god/ bohemian grove more are yet to be revealed. Love the game

Silan is the first male miniboss you fight. He shares a mask with Risryn, which is the female final boss of the game that removes a prospect's mask and kills him. Are you sure you are not mistaking both of them?

Random thought, I don't know if this happens the first time you fight Risryn, but the second time I fought her, I got her down to just a few hits worth of health and she stopped fighting. Completely. No blocking, no punching, no nothing. No other boss in this game does this.

Hmm, I dont know if it is canon or a bug. I had that happen with Lanaren when I was fighting him with my 2nd character, he stopped attacking mid fight altogether. Do you know if it happens every time? Thank you for your comment.

I rewatched some trailers and the one you watch the girl fight (i forgot name im so bad) i feel its more for a revenge cuz im one of rhe trailers she makes a firend (i thought this cuz the mask is the same at the part where her friend gets kicked off) so i thought that part was more a revenge cuz the gauntlets were also used by an enemy she comes up on during the same trailer (buts thats just what i think from what i saw may be true may be not but i think it is)

My first run i reached kuretz and i was like oh shit imma get my ass whooped but for some reason he just stood there and did nothing and when the other prospects came into the fight they just swarmed around me but did nothing so it was a real easy win

Lol there is a light, embodied by a higher being. This light is imbued into small objects. These objects make the user have almost magical abilities, empowering them. These people along their journies practice and master these powers and skills. There are factions that fight to take control of the power, one that respects it, one that abuses it. I understand everyone's reaction is going to be very different, and specially very dependant on how they play the game. I am used from Dark Souls to outspace the enemy to defeat. However, if you do the same in Absolver it does become very repetitive. I also think it has to do with how you make your build. So far I have made 4 builds and done a fair amount of pvp, and while I have found some real clinchers that made me have to switch around a lot, the grand majority of fights felt very samey. I commend Sloclap for what they did with their fighting system, as it is amazing, but unfortunately my experience with the game has been one of having it feel repetitive, specially the pve aspect. Uh, the combat system is what makes this game unique. I have no idea how you can find it repetitive. There are a shit ton of attacks to mix and match with. All with different attributes and effects.
