If Froome is considered innocent and allowed to keep his Vuelta/Giro titles Contador is still a 9-time grand tour winner in my eyes. Anybody who understands how small an amount 50 picograms is and knows the time between his last negative test and his positive test must know he couldn't have possibly gained any advantage with that sort of dose. I'm not saying he was a saint but when you put it into the context of Froome's case surely there needs to be some level of consistency. Simply a victim of the times. The UCI was hell-bent on being seen to take action and clean things up. I read somewhere (not sure if it's true or not) cycling is the only sport that would actually consider that dosage a positive test.

It's called 'micro-dosing'. He says its "impossible to self induce that small amount". That's crazy. He just thought he could get away with micro-dosing, just as those taking EPO also micro-dosed, like Lance did.

If they were blood doping, they could have been micro dosing, and then diluting their blood with clean blood, so the clen would be in a small enough concentration to not be detected. Either he was dosing too high and couldn't get the concentration far enough down, or his stored blood was dirty and no one caught it

Just a small point, clenbuterol is NOT a steroid, it is what is known as a Beta-2 (adrenergic receptor) agonist. It is commonly used as an asthma treatment in people as it dilates the airways. It has a number of other effects which would act to enhance performance, but it is not the same as taking a steroid... not condoning it you understand, all doping is doping. Interestingly, clenbuterol is not used in cattle, but IS licenced for use in horses.... Horse-gate anyone?! (joke)

Clenbuterol is not use to treat ashma.. Not by any real medical doctor and it's not first line treatment. Not even 40th line so cut the BS. Now it's used to trim down and lose body weight and that is what it's primarily used for. Lose the weight, climb faster. Or maybe do a nandrolone/Anavar cycle to get some strenght and lose the extra weight and water retention with Clen. do you think it's natural for a 18 Yo to put out 6W/kg ftp? sorry but those prodigies DO NOT EXIST. A kid wants to be a cyclist? start on the anavar and HGH real soon and build the foundation and then maybe, just maybe, you can put out 440W for 1 H and get the hour record. When Contador came along it was amazing..a new Armstrong, but his dealings with the same people that brought Armstrong all his success should have told us it was too good to be true and now we know the truth. More then likely Contador was on numerous drugs and micro transfusions and he had the best to learn from.

I used to love the tour de france. But after Armstrong and hero riders in my own country confessed to doping i started to research all doping allegations in the past. Indurain, Ullrich, Pantani, Delgado ect ect. They have destroyed my believe in this sport. And its still there. Science can not have helped people like Froom even going faster then a doped Armstrong on certain mountains. Its just not creditable. And a these riders protect the money, its what they live on. And without dope you you can not win tours like this. The omerta culture is still there and the search to even bigger ways to hide it will have intensified after the stripping of Armstrongs titles and the many confessions after. A culture so tyhick can not be changed in 1 to 3 years. Im not even sure if that is possible given the fact that you cant win without.
